I loved the first third and last third of that book, but not the middle third. My favorite of the series was the second book, although the third book was also really good :)

It's a kid's book, but one that doesn't feel like a typical kid's book. I can see why it was popular when it came out.

Hi everyone!!!! *waves* I'm back from my wonderful trip to Arizona! I'll tell everyone about the festival on the "author meets" thread!
While there I finished reading
which I LOVED (and got signed by Rae!!)
Today on the plane home I finished
which was a fun, quick, action-packed read! Really good sequel.
No idea what I'm reading next!

I'm back too! ;) And I miss Jenny!!!
We were so crazy busy the entire week, I barely had time to read. I would conk out after a few pages every night. I finally finished my reread of
. Still working on my reread of
and my eARC from NetGalley of
!
And then I have way too many choices in front of me and not sure what I should read next! ;) (Nice problem to have!)

Awwww...I miss you too! And Molly! And Kari! And your whole family!!! It was hands-down the best vacation I've ever had!
After I hugged the kids and cuddled the cat and got to sleep in my own bed...this morning I woke up kind of depressed. I want to go back to Arizona already!

Ahhhh one of my favorites!

I loved I Got Your Number :)"
It is my favorite Sophie Kinsella book so far. I have bought a few of them recently so I can keep reading her standalones before I get to her series.

I looove that book! I've read it a bunch of times. :) The movie is really good, too.

...And when there will be time to read them all! ;)

The description of Rae's new book sounds interesting, but it's not really enticing enough to make me want to read it. Do you think I would like it? I did enjoy her fantasy series, but this one sounds quite different (which could be a good or bad thing) :)

Its very different, but in a lot of ways I liked it even more! It was one of Karen's fave books she read last year, too.
The fantasy part of it is pretty minimal, its much more a historical fiction read. I'm really interested in the pioneers and the wagon trains and things like that, so I absolutely LOVED it. Its a much faster pace, too, than her fantasy, there's lots happening all the time. The MC is awesome, and it has some pretty unique characters, both good and bad. I think you would like it, but definitely go into it with the expectation that its very different from Girl of Fire and Thorns.
