Ha Heather! I get pretty obsessed with certain genres too! I definately went through a sci-fi, then vampire, then dystopian, then zombie, then apocalyptic, then historical Tudor, then back to apocalyptic... and on and on!! My obsessions never stop, but they just flip around depending on my mood that month!

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I finnished Library of Souls a few days ago. I'm currently reading 1984 on my Kindle, listening to Strings on my PC, and still listening to The Witch With No Name on audio CD on the stereo in the bedroom (hence that one taking me so long; I listen to it only before bed).

Aliza (alizaf) | 111 comments Donna. I suggest you wait to read it until you have a solid block of time to plow through it. it's definitely not a light read but it is...wow! I just finished it and it was so intense I haven't had time to gather my thoughts yet.

Donna (BookDragonGirl) (bookdragongirl) Good to know Aliza, I'll keep that in mind when do. :)

Yes, she is... She makes a book that's already amazing become something beyond awesome!

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I did finnish 1984 last night. To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed with it. I struggled to get in to it, and it failed to keep my attention. There were some interesting and entertaining parts, but there were also a lot of parts I found extremely dull and boring. I was actually relieved when I reached the end of the book.

Brittany McCann (brittanylmccann) | 105 comments Finished Reading:
Empire of Fear Inside the Islamic State by Andrew Hosken Empire of Fear: Inside the Islamic State which is a good overall history of how the Islamic State came to be and how different world events affected them, pretty interesting and exceeding scary, definitely worth a read 4 stars.

Psychopath Free (Expanded Edition) Recovering from Emotionally Abusive Relationships With Narcissists, Sociopaths, and Other Toxic People by Jackson MacKenzie Psychopath Free (Expanded Edition): Recovering from Emotionally Abusive Relationships With Narcissists, Sociopaths, and Other Toxic People Wow, this was eye opening in light of my most recent relationship, I definitely recommend that anyone who has been dubbed sensitive or an empathy at the very least read the intro and the 30 red flags of toxic people. 4 stars.

Becoming Beyoncé The Untold Story by J. Randy Taraborrelli Becoming Beyoncé: The Untold Story Which is a Biography about Beyonce', it kind of feels like a gossip magazine a bit. It had a great layout and flow though. Although it is told more from the point of view of those around Beyonce' as opposed to being from herself it makes is unique. Overall though it was entertaining. 4 stars

Confessions of a Deathmaiden by Ruth Francisco Confessions of a Deathmaiden which was recommended to me and is a definitely different kind of mystery. It is very uniquely written and the descriptions are very original. It was a bit weird, but very different from a lot of things that I normally read. Some of the last half of the book and experience felt a bit rushed so I gave it 4 stars, but definitely worth checking out.

The Case of Lisandra P. by Hélène Grémillon The Case of Lisandra P.. Oh my gosh it was so shocking in the ending, but such an amazing journey. It was translated by an Argentinian author and a murder mystery/suspense. I give it 5 stars, highly recommend.

Currently Reading:
Geisha, a Life by Mineko Iwasaki Geisha, a Life which I was intrigued by due to my fascination with geishas and the fact that this was Mineko Iwasaki's response to Arthur Golden's Memoirs of a Geisha and is VASTLY different in the background information of the two stories.

Also reading The English Patient by Michael Ondaatje The English Patient with the group read, which is written in a unique way.

Just started Awoken (The Lucidites, #1) by Sarah Noffke Awoken on my Kindle
and
The Saint (The Original Sinners White Years, #1) by Tiffany Reisz The Saint as my Buddy Pick for Me read.

Swim the Fly (Swim the Fly, #1) by Don Calame is really funny in that cute, juvenile way.
Winger (Winger, #1) by Andrew Smith is funny too but also gets pretty dark.
Both are great books for different reasons.
