I just got this 20th Anniversary edition of Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon ! Diana Gabaldon is at the book festival too that Jenny and I are going to in March! We have a serious problem of too many great amazing authors and not enough time!! Plus hauling said books all day for two days!! ;) Jenny, we'll have to plan the schedule out in advance for sure!!

message 16313: by Irene (new)

Irene (raenne) I'm reading Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman and I like it, but it's a bit slow.

message 16314: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Since my last post I've read Quidditch Through the Ages and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which were both cool additions for Potter fans, but nothing special beyond that. Also Doll Bones which I really liked. Plus, Artemis Fowl and The Arctic Incident, both which I enjoyed quite a lot, thought they were the book equivalent of candy. Nothing overly deep, just fun, entertaining reads.

Now I'm reading The Subtle Knife

I'm glad you liked it :-) Cliffhanger.. I read the worst cliffhanger or I guess you could say a 5 star cliffhanger yesterday? I about fell over.

I hope you like Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4) by Sarah J. Maas :-)

Tommy I have a Harry Potter box set coming soon with those and I think a third book in it. I have Doll Bones too but haven't started it!

Melissa ♥ Dog/Wolf Lover ♥ Martin | 330 comments I'm currently reading Words of Radiance (The Stormlight Archive, #2) by Brandon Sanderson and A Little Life by Hanya Yanagihara and The Goldfinch by Donna Tartt and Only Human by J.D. Estrada and will probably add another shorter one before finishing those big ones :-D

If the third one is Tales of Beedle the Bard, that one is fantastic even for non-Potter fans(thought being a Potter fan makes it all the cooler). And my niece just happened to have Doll Bones, so I checked it out. Very good, though very simple book.

It's good so far, but oh so brutal! It's a bit more depressing than any of the other ones. Struggling a little bit, but the writing is solid.
