I absolutely love the narrator. I have listened to all of the books on audio and am amazed at her versatility. I am not sure about Winter in general. Her character kind of annoys me so far and I don't think it has to do with the narration but it could be.

It was okay over all. I really liked the premise, and the first half of it was very intriguing, but I found the second half kind of slow and ... over-explainy? I'm not sure how to describe it, haha.

Caitlin (caitlinsiem) | 409 comments I finished Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. It was... Okay. Just ended up not being my cup of coffee even though I really expected to love it. So that's bad news bears.

Jumping into a reread of A Darker Shade of Magic by V. E. (Victoria) Schwab. I received an ARC from her for A Gathering of Shadows which comes out at the end of next month and I really want to read it! Haha I love love love ADSOM. I highly recommend it if you haven't checked it out yet.

I'm only at 12%. It is getting intense but I'm guessing by your comment that it will get a lot more intense. I'm looking forward to it.

I really enjoyed it and I have posted my review. I have found my favourite retelling. It was such a unique take on Pinnochio. :) I hope you like my review.

Next up I'm thinking a re-read of Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight is in order so I can read Heir of Fire for the first time for our February BOTM!

And I have all three books but I've been wanting to reread Miss Pereegrine's since I have forgotten a bit of the story.

Now I am eagerly jumping into its sequel, A Gathering of Shadows. I was a lucky winner of an ARC and I'm so freaking excited to read it. I am never a winner of anything so this is just that much sweeter :)

Yay! The author will be at the Tuscon book festival in March that I'm going to! I'm going to try to meet her, and probably buy this book!
