I am going to be right behind you for both books. I am hoping my experience with Illuminae is improved with the audiobook performance because it is a long one and I would hate to invest a lot of time without a pay off!
I'm interested to see how you feel about Illuminae, Heidi! I had mixed feelings about it, but I hope the audiobook is good. :) It's worth looking at a physical copy of it at some point if you get a chance––the layout is very interesting and it was visually appealing.

I actually thought it was a historical fiction that took place in the Victorian Era because I didn't read the description just looked at the original cover. I like it so far. I had to stop reading way before I went to bed because I was worried I would have nightmares or something. lol
I started Monsters of Men last night, so I'm hoping that will get me out of this book rut. I'm book hungover after Six of Crows! D:

I've finnished Lost in the labyrinth of my mind, but am still reading both The Sword of Summer and The Undead Pool.

Good thinking. :)
Good thinking. :)
I'm about to start
It came recommended to me, and I'm hoping it turns out well. The last 3 books I tried ending up being DNF duds :(
I need something good.
Finished A Kindled Winter
and A Curious Beginning
which were both spectacular!Reading a library book at home still The Boundaries of Desire: A Century of Good Sex, Bad Laws, and Changing IdentitiesThe Boundaries of Desire: A Century of Good Sex, Bad Laws, and Changing Identities
which is intriguing to look at extreme legal cases, also reading Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things
which is hilariously eye opening and at work I am now reading The Pentagon's Brain: An Uncensored History of DARPA, America's Top-Secret Military Research Agency
which is very interesting, highly recommend already!
Currently I'm reading As You Like It, but I'll also be reading Uprooted. A couple of the books I was reaing just didn't work out for me.

I finished
and it was a good finale to the series! I started reading this series years ago, so I got a bit nostalgic at the end, especially when Puck and Ash were fighting together again!
Right now I'm listening to
on audio and its good so far.
Still reading
, which is very good, and going to be starting
soon.
Also reading
in ebook.

Been a while, probably will be another while before I come back. Haven't read too much since I was last on.Finished
, which I wanted to love but ended up feeling very meh about. Also finished
, which I wanted to love and really did end up loving. Great stuff. Familiar enough to recommend to certain readers, but new enough to feel fresh.Up next, I'll probably end up reading
Audiobooks on youtube... Namely Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (I can't find my copy) and Haunted Kids (I don't know where mine is either) nice and relaxing... And they're shorter then normal audiobooks...And also still working on Black Widow: Forever Red among others..

I am reading Philosophy of Wicca. Philosophy of Wicca. I do not recommend this book. She does not know enough philosophy. The book can mislead people! I am disappointed. This is my way of venting right now.
I'm reading
. Here's my take: The reason this book has such mixed reviews is that the dialogue is cheesy and unrealistic and the characters, though somewhat complex, aren't very likeable. HOWEVER, I think the concept is brilliant and I'm very interested to see what happens next! So in some ways it's a really compelling book! I'm halfway done, hoping for a suspenseful ending!!

I'm about halfway through both
and the expanded version of
. I don't know what made me decide to tackle 2 huge books at the same time!! :)
I've been reading Seveneves ALL day but have to put it down occasionally because the hardcore science gives me headaches and makes my eyes cross! Hahahah.. but it's sooooo intriguing, I have to pick it back up soon after. Bestie Jen told me the sciencey parts are worth it, especially once I get to part 3! I trust her! And I really love the story. It feels like the story of The 100, IF the author ever decided to do a prequel of what happened that caused the survivors to go to space.

I read
4 stars and I enjoyed it! Its the second book in the series, and it was a fun, quick read. Its a new take on vampires that I rather like.

Cecilia, I really liked Across the Universe! At first I found it a little slow, maybe the first few chapters, but then it picked up and I loved it!! I'm looking forward to the next book in the series.
