I'll keep in mind to not read it at night then, lol

LOL yeah, definitely not one to read at night. It's right there with my Stephen King, Ted Dekker, and Griffin Hayes (and a few others but those are my favorites). Definitely NOT before bedtime books.

I started Lovely Bones and it ended up on my Did Not Finish list. It just got too depressing for me. And the same for the movie. I started it and couldn't finish it.

Stephen King is awesome, Griffin Hayes I know quite well an he's another fantastic author. Ted Dekker is a christian horror writer and damned good at his job.

I couldn't stomach the 1st 2. This one however... was MUCH better in my humble opinion.

I just finished
and it was pretty good! I've heard raving reviews on it, and I liked it, but didn't love it. I think I was having trouble suspending my disbelief for the whole concept.
Next I think I'm reading

My 15 year old daughter used to hate to read. It was like pulling teeth! When she hit about 7th grade, though, she started to love it. And I realized, she just didn't really like the MG content. She reads lots of thrillers. She loves Stephen King! But she'll read YA too. She really loves the I Am Number Four series and Lauren Oliver's books. And just about any Dystopian book!

She isn't old enough for Stephen King, but we are reading Magic Treehouse books together and we both just started the first book in the Kingdom Keeper's series - which is FANTASTIC! She has however read Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series (all but book #3)

I'm hoping for a snow day so I can read. A LOT. *o*Update: SNOWWWWWWWWW DAYYYYY. I'm sorry. It's been a year (almost 2). Excuse the excitement.
Currently reading:

It is actually really, really good. And with me being all but a Florida Native, it's cool. Disney after dark and all.

We expecting 10 inches of snow at some point tomorrow, so I'm sure we will get a snow day on Friday--but that doesn't help me, its my day off! Maybe it will hit early....
Heidi (eternal optimist, well maybe not eternal) wrote: "Good to know Martha!"It will also, as seen in my current status update, reinforce the fact that "It's a Small World" is the EVILEST ride ever created.

What am I reading right now?? Well, right now, I'm actually reading the words as I type them into this reply. And, really, so are you. But you're just reading them. Not typing and reading them like I am. That would just be weird.

I'm still slowly reading Scarlet because I'm so busy I can't find the time! Ugh. But the book is good :)
I'm in a book slump right now. I'm reading a few different ones but nothing that's grabbing me and keeping my interest for any length of time. Maybe because none are YA. Yea, that's it. I need YA. In particular, a new dystopian, maybe 2nd in a series. Due to release in a few weeks! ;). **hint, hint** -- David!?
