LOL yeah, definitely not one to read at night. It's right there with my Stephen King, Ted Dekker, and Griffin Hayes (and a few others but those are my favorites). Definitely NOT before bedtime books.

Not that that's a bad thing, but you are missing out on so very much! Stephen King is awesome, Griffin Hayes I know quite well an he's another fantastic author. Ted Dekker is a christian horror writer and damned good at his job.

I was on college reading level since 7th grade... but I just prefer YA books and fiction. I'm not one for Nonfiction or Adults usually, even though my mom tries to make me read them (fail)

Understandable. I would however, highly recommend Stephen King, Ted Dekker and Griffin Hayes (though they are not for bed time reading)

I just finished and it was pretty good! I've heard raving reviews on it, and I liked it, but didn't love it. I think I was having trouble suspending my disbelief for the whole concept.

My 15 year old daughter used to hate to read. It was like pulling teeth! When she hit about 7th grade, though, she started to love it. And I realized, she just didn't really like the MG content. She reads lots of thrillers. She loves Stephen King! But she'll read YA too. She really loves the I Am Number Four series and Lauren Oliver's books. And just about any Dystopian book!

My roommate's daughter is 9 and LOVES to read. She isn't old enough for Stephen King, but we are reading Magic Treehouse books together and we both just started the first book in the Kingdom Keeper's series - which is FANTASTIC! She has however read Patricia Briggs' Mercy Thompson series (all but book #3)
