Finished The Wrath and the Dawn (The Wrath and the Dawn, #1) by Renee Ahdieh This was a solid 3.5 star read. I really liked the world itself and the conundrum of the boy-king who was a monster, but had a good reason to be. I wasn't a huge fan of the MC...she kind of gave me whiplash with her emotions, but I did like her at the end. All the other characters I loved, and while I was kind of confused in the beginning of the story, somehow I got hooked to it. Looking forward to the sequel!

Also finished Patient Zero (Joe Ledger, #1) by Jonathan Maberry and absolutely LOVED it! I love Joe Ledger <3 And Jonathan Maberry's books in general!

Next I'm reading Firelight (Firelight, #1) by Sophie Jordan

Yes... I plan on rereading Asylum but am too cheap to buy Sanctum right now incase I don't like it. I wanna give this series another chance since I DID like Asylum I just didn't like certain parts.

Furiously Happy A Funny Book About Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson

This book has already brought me to tears from laughter so many times already.

Lauren B (saussage1994) | 19 comments I just finished Lola and the Boy Next Door (Anna and the French Kiss, #2) by Stephanie Perkins this morning. I also received my OwlCrate today (view spoiler) but with it being spooky themed I kind of want to save it to start the night before Halloween. So I'm totally undecided about what to read next. Maybe The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (Mara Dyer, #1) by Michelle Hodkin .

Heard mixed things, has anyone here read it?"

I have an ARC of it but I haven't read it yet. I'm also a bit skeptical since it's co-authored ... and as much as I love Scott Westerfeld, his most recent book was pretty disappointing for me. But I hope it's good!

I had pretty much the same feelings about TWatD. I didn't like the MC very much ... actually I didn't really like any of the characters. :P And the story was a bit slow for me. But I thought it was an okay book.

Andrea (alexandra14) | 218 comments I recently read An Ember in the Ashes (An Ember in the Ashes, #1) by Sabaa Tahir . I love it!! even though it was brutal and dark I ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. And now I can't wait for the next book :'(

Now I'm reading Tiger's Curse (The Tiger Saga, #1) by Colleen Houck which I'm not liking at all.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Finished Fire and Ash (Benny Imura, #4) by Jonathan Maberry last night and really, really liked it. Not my favorite book in the series, but a very good ending to a very good series.

Up next, gonna start The Young Elites (The Young Elites, #1) by Marie Lu either tonight or tomorrow night.

I finished my reread of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (Harry Potter, #4) by J.K. Rowling and immediately after shutting the book ran to the bookshelf and pulled out Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (Harry Potter, #5) by J.K. Rowling . :)

Still listening to Time's Divide (The Chronos Files, #3) by Rysa Walker which I'm loving!!

I haven't connected with The Diviners (The Diviners, #1) by Libba Bray yet but it could be because I'm too distracted by my other reads.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @karen I'm SO excited to read Goblet of Fire because I will be reading it for the first time!!! Eeek!

For a lot of people, that's the favorite Potter book. It's where a lot of people really fell in love with the series. To me it's probably about #3, but, man, it is very good.

Agreed! I really fell in love with it on #3, but #4 was my fave until the last book! Deathly Hallows is my fave of the series, followed by Goblet, then Prince, then Azkaban, then Phoenix, Chamber, and Stone :)

I'm now reading Going Bovine by Libba Bray . I loved The Diviners by the same author, but I honestly almost stopped reading this one at 10% because the book didn't seem to have any plot! It was a book about nothing, and seemed really try-hard with caricatures instead of characters :(

HOWEVER, I managed to push through and I *finally* got to the hook, which I loved. Long story short, I'm about a third finished and very interested in where it's going. I'm still not a huge fan of the characters, but the plot is getting interesting :)
