Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @Daniel that's what I was thinking too :) I read The Darkest Minds when it first came out but feel like I want to re-read it in order to finish the series to refresh my memory. I'm thinking I will read TDM :)

message 14918: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments Picked up The Young Elites by Marie Lu from the library and I'm 37 pages in. Promising so far, but not hooked yet.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @Catherine I will be reading the Grisha Trilogy after I finish the two series I'm currently reading. I have the whole trilogy on my shelf! I've heard nothing but good things about it! I just decided I've been on such a fantasy binge for so long that I would read The Darkest Minds trilogy as dystopian would be a nice break :)

message 14920: by Harlee (new)

Harlee | 1583 comments I read The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass yesterday and started The Elite (The Selection, #2) by Kiera Cass today but America is getting on my nerves so I'm taking a break lol. I just started rereading Shadow and Bone (The Grisha, #1) by Leigh Bardugo so I can finally go further into this series :)

Ashley Marie Finally picked up Enshadowed (Nevermore, #2) by Kelly Creagh from the library today so I can finish part 2 of this trilogy.
Really interested in Tidewater A Novel of Pocahontas and the Jamestown Colony by Libbie Hawker as well and I'm only 20 pages in!
And still slowly but surely making progress with The Final Empire (Mistborn, #1) by Brandon Sanderson .

moving on to The Letter for the King by Tonke Dragt

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments Okay. Small change of heart. After much encouragement from my IG friends and GR friends I have decided to keep pressing on with The Assassin's Blade. I loved Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight so I'm kind of disappointed with not liking TAB very well. Two more novellas and then onto Heir of Fire!!!

I finally finished The Taming of the Queen by Philippa Gregory by Philippa Gregory. It was my least favorite of all Gregory’s Tudor books. Too much theology study and not enough story.

Now I'm reading our Jonathan Maberry's new book Bits & Pieces (Benny Imura, #5) by Jonathan Maberry and so happy to be back in his Rot & Ruin!!

But I already pre-ordered it. I am trying to get done with flesh and bone and the last book before I start six of crows, but for some reason it's slow going. Not sure y because I love the series. It makes me sad :(

Finished The Burning Sky (The Elemental Trilogy, #1) by Sherry Thomas 4 stars. Overall, I really enjoyed this fantasy, especially the world that was very rich. I also really liked the "school chums" scenes. Some of those boys were hilarious!

Also finished Firewalker (Worldwalker, #2) by Josephine Angelini 4 stars
That was a HUGE cliffhanger!!! AHHHH! I need the next book now! Overall I enjoyed the read. All I can say is, anything can and does happen in this one! And no one is safe.

Now I'm reading The Rise of Nine (Lorien Legacies, #3) by Pittacus Lore

It wasn't that great for me either. I had trouble finishing it, but it still intrigued me enough at the end that I'm going to read the next book anyway. >.>
