So far I'm finding it kind of confusing, partly because sometimes I can't tell what are metaphors and what's literal? (view spoiler) And that's kind of a pet peeve of mine, but maybe I'll get used to it. :D

@Heidi - I've read about half of it now (since every paragraph is only like a sentence long, lol) and yeahhh I'm leaning more towards the "hate it" side. :P The style feels really forced, and none of the characters have much personality. I was hoping I would like it more, but ah well. @Karen - I liked GSAW, but obviously it was not as good as TKAM. I tried to see it more as an early draft of TKAM than a sequel. There were parts of it that I liked more than others, especially the flashback scenes. Over all I thought it was good but not great.
@David - RIGHT??? :D I just love how creative the story is. And so intense.
Brigid that was my same issue with the book. I am character driven and did not care for even one character in the book. I also figured out what was going on pretty quickly.
Goid to know about
, Brigid! I think you're the first friend I know who's read it so far. I preordered it and it's still sitting in my TBR soon pile! :)

I just finished
and it was fantastic! If you like
, you'll probably like Half My Facebook Friends Are Ferrets by J. A. Buckle. Just about to begin
and
!
@Heidi - Exactly. I didn't have much sympathy for anyone. And especially after finding out (view spoiler), I really didn't like her or feel sorry for her. :P @Karen - I don't know many people who have read it, either––seems like a lot of my friends have chosen to skip it, and I don't blame them what with all the sketchy publishing drama. I thought it was interesting to read, though, and I'm curious to see what you think of it!
@Lauren - oooh I love Winger, so I will have to check that book out! :)

Right now I'm reading My Fight/Your Fight by Ronda Rousey and Lord of the Flies for teaching purposes.
Re-reading:
I finally got Lair of Dreams, but I need to refresh my memory a bit before I read it. :D

Just finished Queen of Shadows by Sarah J Maas and it was absolutely everything I hoped it would be (and was scared that it would be). It certainly didn't disappoint. And completely blew me away. Absolutely loved it. Now I'm starting Silver in the Blood by Jessica Day George.
I'm starting it tonight!!!!! I almost want to forget going to sleep and just read it straight through!!! But at the same time I wanna take my time because once I'm done... That's it until next year :( I have flown through this series. It will be a sad day when I am done reading it

Been over a week since I last did an update on what I've been reading. So, here are my recent reads:
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "I have never read the Story Girl books but love LMM. please let me know if you like them :)"
I LOVED the Story Girl books...I actually liked them better than Anne!

Oh wow Jenny! Good endorsement! I see the show Tales from Avonlea was based on them. I LOVED that show and actually just rewatched all the seasons on DVD recently because my library owns them.

It's actually really rare for me to read a series straight through(I like breaking up my series to read the books apart from each other usually), but this time I'm thinking I'm just gonna go straight through all 4 :)
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "I have never read the Story Girl books but love LMM. please let me know if you like them :)"They were really good. Not as good as the Emily Of New Moon and Anne Of Green Gables books, but enjoyable reads.
Jenny wrote: "I LOVED the Story Girl books...I actually liked them better than Anne!"Really? I thought Anne was better. Though, not by much... I mean, they were both great.
Thanks Victoria! I grabbed the first book - it was only 99 cents on Kindle and it is whispersync compatible. It will have to be pretty wonderful to bump Anne's place in my heart though.
