I'm STILL working on Little Women by Louisa May Alcott ! I don't know why it's taking me SOOOOO long!

I also started my reread of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling for Rose's Muggles readalong!! I picked it up late late late last night and I should not have done that. I had to slap my hand to make myself put it down so I could go to sleep. Rose, watch out... If I can't control myself, I may end up binge reading them all instead of reading them WITH the group. Hahaahh!! I will do my absolute best to drag them out! ;)

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 787 comments Although I have so much I want to read and finish I have decided to do the HP read a long!!! How can I resist HP reread!!! I can't! Woot woot!!

I'm really enjoying Scorpio Races, though not sure at this point if it will be one I absolutely love.

message 14614: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments I finished Necromancing the Stone (Necromancer, #2) by Lish McBride yesterday and, man, I loved it. It's borderline criminal that there are only two of these books.

Up next, The Power of Six (Lorien Legacies, #2) by Pittacus Lore

message 14615: by Aasha (new)

Aasha Ramlal | 77 comments Finished Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass, #4) by Sarah J. Maas literally five minutes ago and now I'm just curled up in a ball of emotion and tears.... I have no idea what I'm reading next

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I finnished The Scorpio Races not long ago. I thought it was a great read, but didn't love it like many others seem to have done. I'm not sure why... There's nothing wrong with it, and I did enjoy it... It just didn't push my "this book is awesome" button, I guess.

Anyway, I'm now about to read The Professor, since I've been meaning to, and it's one of the books of the month on another Goodreads group I'm on.

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 787 comments OK guys, I think I am gonna put a hold on flesh and bone. I love the series but for some reason it is slow going. Not sure y. I'm scared to stop reading and not start back up but I don't think that will happen. :( I feel like I'm betraying the book lol

I liked but was not 100% in love with Scorpio Races too. I solid read but its didn't stick with me like some of my favorites have.

Scorpio races for me was just a solid read through most of the books but--and note, this is 100% subjective--it had one of the best endings I've ever read.

I think our views on the book are nearly identical haha. Until the ending, there wasn't any part of the book I loved or hated, it was just a solid 3-star read. i tacked on one more star in my rating for the ending though haha.

message 14636: by Anna 'Bookbuyer' (new)

Anna 'Bookbuyer' (bookbuyer) I'm changing my books around a bit so I'm not sure what I'm still reading and what I might put down.

Wolf-Speaker (The Immortals, #2) by Tamora Pierce Green Angel (Green Angel, #1) by Alice Hoffman The Laughing Corpse (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #2) by Laurell K. Hamilton The Young Elites (The Young Elites, #1) by Marie Lu Other (Other, #1) by Karen Kincy Dark Descendant (Nikki Glass, #1) by Jenna Black

and then I have these two on hold for BRs':

I tried and failed to finish Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard . It just didn't hold my interest because I found it too predictable and similar to other YA reads, especially The Selection. I'm sure others will like it more than I did though!

I too started The Red Queen a while ago and stopped reading it as I found it so boring!

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments I'm reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling for a Muggles read-a-long I'm hosting and I'm loving the re-read so much! I'm on Chapter 7!

I'm also reading The Assassin's Blade (Throne of Glass, #0.1-0.5) by Sarah J. Maas and then onto Heir of Fire and Queen of Shadows!

message 14645: by Caitlin (new)

Caitlin (caitlinsiem) | 409 comments @David - I was not a fan of Red Queen either. I was expected to like it because there was so much hype about it but I was completely unimpressed. I won't continue the series. I just didn't care.

message 14646: by Harlee (new)

Harlee | 1583 comments @David I liked it a lot but also found it similar to another book, Shadow and Bone. I gave it five stars after finishing but I've been considering lowering it to four stars for awhile now.
