I just started for my Muggles Read-A-Long I'm hosting on Instagram! If anyone would like to join the read-a-long starts September 1st! We are reading Books 1 and 2 in September, Books 3 and 4 in October, Books 5 and 6 in November, and Book 7 in December! The Harry Potter read-a-long is going to be so much fun!

- I'm listening to the audio book. It's alright but I don't care for the characters all that much but I would still like to know what will happen.

- Not my usual kind of read, but I have been hearing quite a bit about the series lately and thought I would check it out. I really can't stand Tia. I'm about a third of the way into it and there seems to be no sign of her being anything other than an irresponsible drunken flake.

I'm nearly finished, Karen. It's okay, very different from any other Howey book I've read. Wasn't a huge fan of the beginning, but I get why it was needed to set up the rest of the book. It's a...I'm not sure how else to say this...simple book, which is refreshing in some ways, but also a let down when compared to some of his other works. Really quick read though, so worth a shot!

(view spoiler)[ 80%. So I knew from the similar storyline in Throne of Glass to suspect that Sage was actually Jaron, but I DIDN'T KNOW THAT HE WAS AWARE OF IT AND THAT HE'D BEEN DECEIVING US THE WHOLE TIME GAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH.
Also, what's in that emerald box? How was Conner so sure that Jaron was dead when he wasn't?
Also, IMOGEN MY DEAR, YOU HAVE TO UNDERSTAND. IT REALLY ISN'T WHAT IT SEEMS LIKE.
Now what's Sage/Jaron going to do? What's his plan? And what do I call him now?
I don't really know whether to be pissed off or amused by the fact that he kept his identity a secret from the readers. It caught me off-guard. I suppose that's the point, though.
I'm still reeling. I'm trying to make sense of it and it does make sense, the backstory fits, but it's so hard to grasp so suddenly.

I really like him. He's quickly turned into one of my favourite characters of all time. But I think I was concerned with the grand reveal because (view spoiler)[ now I don't know if the personality I've come to love is real, or if it's also a lie. I hope he's the same witty, sarcastic, compassionate guy, whether as Sage or as Jaron. (hide spoiler)]
