yikes. slowed down?

it took everything I had to finish the Lost Symbol earlier. 2 stars. Boring and anticlimactic and predictable and disappointing after Angels & Demons and Da Vinci Code. I'm hoping Inferno will be better.

message 13954: by Harlee (new)

Harlee | 1583 comments I was having trouble staying interested in it so I've read two other books lol. It's sad because by the end of Splintered I was an absolute mess with feelings but now I'm having trouble remembering why I liked the characters and caring about what's going on. :/

:nods: I think I'm going to reread Splintered before I pick up Unhinged.

Caitlin (caitlinsiem) | 409 comments Had to set aside Ready Player One. My borrow time at the library ended. I'm far too social on vacations and I should've known I wouldn't be able to time commit. So, back on the wait list I go.

I will be starting The Girl On The Train now. I was number 346 on the wait list for this one so definitely need to make sure I read it before my loan expires!

Good point, Storm. If I shave a few hours out at night, I'd have plenty of reading time. I must re-think my strategy.

message 13977: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie Speaking of the night hours, I was up til 1am finishing UnDivided (Unwind, #4) by Neal Shusterman and I regret nothing. Great ending to an incredible series. I would love a novella though, as an epilogue of sorts -- what happened to Cam and Hayden and Bam and Grace and Argent and everyone? sigh.

Gah, so many great books everyone! I've been insanely busy trying to get everything done at work so I can take a nice relaxing vacation next week. I've had no time to read OR be on social media. If I can survive the next few days, then I'll have 11 days of nothing but reading! And NO internet!

I've been filling up ereaders! I have Gates of Thread and Stone (Gates of Thread and Stone #1) by Lori M. Lee . Sounds like I need to read that one!

David, I didn't love Shadow and Bone but did enjoy Red Queen (Red Queen, #1) by Victoria Aveyard .
