I haven't had a problem with it. I'm glad you think the conclusion is good. I'd be gutted if Penryn and Raffe's story ended poorly! I'm almost finished which I'm quite sad about :(

I'm 9% in and I already love it. I've really missed this world and characters. Can't get enough of Shusterman's writing either, it's so easy to read (because his prose and sentence structure is so good), and yet covers extremely complex themes.

Totally agreed- his writing is clear, concise, and easy to read, but also so deep and complex- and that goes for both Unwind and Bruiser. The guy knows how to write books.

I also had to stop Snow Like Ashes. Just couldn't seem to connect with the characters or plot.

message 13514: by Heather (new)

Heather (hersecretsmile) | 290 comments I finished both All the Rage by Courtney Summers and End of Days (Penryn and the End of Days, #3) by Susan Ee . Both books were excellent.

I'm still working on Rot and Ruin (Benny Imura, #1) by Jonathan Maberry but after finishing End of Days I wanted to read something in a different genre so I'm reading Emancipated by M.G. Reyes as well.

Did you read the prequel novellas first? They really help to set the stage for Throne of Glass. They're very quick reads :)

Almost done with both UnDivided (Unwind, #4) by Neal Shusterman and Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld . Undivided is AMAZING and Afterworlds is sort of meh for me, but I'm still interested in finding out what happens.

I still need to finish the Unwind books! Afterworlds was a huge letdown for me. I'm a big fan of Scott Westerfeld but it was really not his best, in my opinion.

Donna (BookDragonGirl) (bookdragongirl) I didn't know about the prequel novellas!! Gotta look for them!! Thanks David!! Still loving Throne of Glass!! Celaena is hysterical, I love her!!!

I started I'll Give You the Sun by Jandy Nelson today, good book, might take me a while to read with the long chapters and all.

Oh my gosh, Brigid, the Unwind series only gets better and better, and the last book is perfection. Yeah, I've almost DNF'd Afterworlds half a dozen times but I'm pushing through because I kind of want to know what happens. But yeah, disappointing!

Just Finished From a Distant Star by Karen McQuestion

message 13545: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments Finished An Ember in the Ashes yesterday- one of my favourite reads of 2015 so far.
I tried More Than This by Patrick Ness today, but I wasn't feeling it. Put it down for now.
I got some money as a gift from my uncle today, which I spent on Paper Towns by John Green and The Living by Matt de la Pena.
I'm 36% into Paper Towns, and it's OK. Not hooked yet though.

message 13550: by Belkis (new)

Belkis (bminaya) | 133 comments I finished Coda (Songs of Submission, #9) by C.D. Reiss and it was fanfreakingtastic! The I The Kiss of Deception (The Remnant Chronicles, #1) by Mary E. Pearson and it was utterly disappointing. NOTHING HAPPENED IN THIS EFFIN STORY! Then I dove into A Husband's Regret (Unwanted, #2) by Natasha Anders and it was a nice romance. Then I excited jumped into A Pound of Flesh (A Pound of Flesh, #1) by Sophie Jackson and it was fabulously craptastic! Predictable and boring. UGH! What a case of false advertising! Now I'm halfway through How to Seduce a Vampire (Without Really Trying) (Love at Stake, #15) by Kerrelyn Sparks and enjoying it so far and almost done with The Song of David by Amy Harmon and of course it's awesome but it's breaking my heart :'(
