Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments I'm still drawing out The Hidden Masters of Marandur by Jack Campbell as long as possible because it's FABULOUS!!!!! This series was written for Audible and is narrated by MacLeod Andrews - fantasy mixing steampunk and magic. It's so cool! There's a strong romance in it as well. I don't want this want to end . . .

message 12706: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I am going to try to finish Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon then I will be reading Trial by Fire (Worldwalker, #1) by Josephine Angelini

I'm a little late to the discussion about The Scorpio Races, but I had to jump in as it's one of my favorite books! Hope you enjoy it, Tommy! Victoria, you've got to read it, so beautifully written and so many feels at the end :)

A little less than 1/4 of the way in. So far I'm liking it but not in love with it. Still have high hopes though because M-Stief haha.
Also, for some reason I can only picture Puck in my head as Maisie Williams from Game of Thrones, but, you know, less medieval.

Lauren Stoolfire | 2047 comments I couldn't stop - I've already finished Fairest (The Lunar Chronicles, #3.5) by Marissa Meyer ! It does offer some great insight on the characters and it's a pretty fantastic origin story.

Here's my review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Another one I want to read.

Actually, I went to grab that the other day, but I couldn't find it on Amazon UK in anything other than paperback. I thought there should be a Kindle version available?

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @Harlee I'm planning on finishing the HP series sometime this year! I read the first three in January & February! Just need to read the last four! Let me know when you get to Goblet of Fire & I will finish the series with you!

message 12721: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments So, yesterday (as in Sunday, since it's just after midnight going in to Tuesday morning here now, but still Monday for most of the group) I read Alien Mission and started reading The IX. Then, today (as in Monday) my audio copy of The King's Curse FINALLY arrived, so I started that too.

I'm about 20% done with The Ix, and at 5% with The King's Curse, and enjoying both. Although, I thought the way the first few chapters of The Ix were done was kind of strange, since I don't see why the author didn't finnish telling us about each group before moving on to the next (making it three slightly longer chapters, rather than six shorter ones). I do see why the different groups' stories need to be told though, so I'm more commenting on it than complaining about it, if that makes sense.

message 12722: by Harlee (new)

Harlee | 1583 comments I've only read the first three also!!! I'll definitely let you know when I get to Goblet of Fire! :)

Darkness Becomes Her (Gods & Monsters, #1) by Kelly Keaton started this last night,so far so good.

message 12725: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie Grave Peril (The Dresden Files, #3) by Jim Butcher really picked up steam around the 25% mark and I'm hoping to finish it tonight.

Also gonna be finishing Curtsies & Conspiracies (Finishing School, #2) by Gail Carriger today, I'm on the last section right now. It's gotten a bit weird between all the werewolves and vampires and technology, but there is a LOT of action and that's cool.

I'm about half done with The Vault of Dreamers (The Vault of Dreamers, #1) by Caragh M. O'Brien and Reclaimed (The Nogiku Series, #4) by S.J. Pajonas .

And I only have less than an hour left on my audio of Fire and Ash (Benny Imura, #4) by Jonathan Maberry . I don't want this series to be over, so I am barely listening to it right now because if I do, it'll be over. :( How stupid, right? I've marathoned all 4 books and after 45 hours of Benny Imura, I can't stand that it's about to be over.

I really liked it, although it has a more serious tone than Chelsea's other novels (from what I hear). I loved the intimate look into who Chelsea is as a person behind the constant jokes and set ups.
