I'm really enjoying it, Harlee! I loved the cover too which is what made me pick it up at the book store. I was able to get it from my elibrary though so didn't buy it. But I may have to. I'm zooming right through.

Teresa Michelle wrote: "@Karen I just started it today so I am not far along but I like the main character Claire so far."

Claire is a great character. I'm up to book 5. Book 1 was good although there were some things I didn't really like about it. Book 2 was okay. 3&4 were my favorites.

I finished reading The Forever Song (Blood of Eden, #3) by Julie Kagawa and I LOVED it, great conclusion! Also finished Half Bad (Half Bad, #1) by Sally Green and although at times I was a bit confused by the writing, overall I enjoyed it. It was a very dark story, and very unique.

Still reading Blood of My Blood (Jasper Dent, #3) by Barry Lyga and I think I'm going to start Trust in Me (Wait for You, #1.5) by J. Lynn

message 12517: by Michelle (new)

Michelle @Teresa I have been wanting to read the first book for a while now so I thought this would be a good time as I am reading more historical fictions right now. There are a lot of books for me to catch up on.

Wow Karen! Outlander is a really loooooong audiobook! I love the narrator (Davina Porter)and think if I would not have had her narrating I would not have finished it. It needed some serious editing IMO. While I didn't hate it by any means I think if they would have cut it down by a few hundred pages it would have been something I loved.

I went to write more of my book last night... couldn't get off tumblr for the life of me. still kind of annoyed about it xD

In other news, I'm still liking the Night Circus, and Mastiff is getting interesting (both at the 25% mark)

And planning to start Angelfall tonight!

I keep having a similar problem lately (though with Goodreads, rather than Tumblr). I'm thinking I'm going to have to make a rule that I can't so much as open an internet browser, unless I've done a certain amount of writing first.

I bounce back and forth between GR and tumblr and in the process get neither reading nor writing accomplished.

*Nods in understanding* Sounds very familiar!

I'm having a bit more luck with reading though, since I'm not very good at navigating the net on my Kindle, so I can turn off the computer to force myself to get some reading done. Unfortunately, I need the computer to write, so I can't use that trick to get writing done.

This isn't like me, actually... Usually I'm really good about getting in a decent chunk of writing each day, and making it more of a priority than social media sites. I'm blaming the recent move, and hoping I'll be back to normal soon.

@Heidi, I've picked up the book several times at the bookstore but just couldn't get there. You're the one that suggested the audio. ;) So I bought it when it was on sale for $7 or $8. I listened to the first few chapters and it did seem so much better for me that way! So yup. I am ready for the 33 hours plus! I'm going to finish up the Benny Imura series which I've been marathoning. I should be done in another week or so.

Outlander was long for sure, but I'm telling you book 5 is by far the one that could do with a major edit.
