I did the same thing. One paragraph was all it took for me to be 100% disinterested. No judgement on anyone who likes it or anything, but that's one I'm not even curious about.
I finished
earlier today. I wasn't overly crazy about the first couple of books, but really glad I kept with it. One more book and can't wait to see how it ends.Up next,
:)
I'm reading this one
I wish you all could read that series, it's so good, but only available in Danish. The author just has such a unique voice and she's incredibly funny!
Y'all! I just finished all the bright places and it was amazing!! I couldn't put it down. Like at all. It's been awhile since I've seriously read a book I couldn't put down. And oh the feels!!!!
i'm about halfway through the ring and the crown by Melissa de la Cruz. It's actually pretty interesting. . . .

I'm so glad you are liking Nicholas Flamel, Tommy! I loved it myself, although I still have to read the last book.

Thanks for all the input, guys! I think I'm going to read Snow Like Ashes first, just because I'm really curious about it :)
And then I'll read The Forever Song with Jenny and whoever else wants to join us!!

Also finished
and LOVED it, love this series so much!!
Now reading
, really looking forward to it!
Also going to start
Several of the residents at the assisted living facility I work at are reading it right now and talking about it, so I thought it was time to finally read it!

OMG...Kindle Author, that was a very elaborate joke!! WOWZA...glad it was a joke, but honestly, I would have totally fallen for that one, as I could see them trying to do something stupid like that!
I... Am feeling very confused with this book... My feelings are conflicted between rolling my eyes at the title character, and between feeling disturbed.

The blurb sounds a little odd. Is it paranormal? Fantasy?

It's suppose to be Dystopian/Contemporary.
Jenny wrote: "I'm so glad you are liking Nicholas Flamel, Tommy! I loved it myself, although I still have to read the last book."Yeah, it's an interesting premise and getting better and better as they bring in more characters. One more book for me as well :)
Alison wrote: "Y'all! I just finished all the bright places and it was amazing!! I couldn't put it down. Like at all. It's been awhile since I've seriously read a book I couldn't put down. And oh the feels!!!!"I'm waiting on this one from the library Alison. I want to read it really bad. Heard it was awesome.
Irene wrote: "I'm starting
- been on my shelves for more than two years..."I have heard great things about this one Irene.
started reading
yesterday and I'm in love. I'm listening to it on audio actually, but I definitely want to get a hard copy for my shelf once I finish it.
I'm reading Dust by Patricia Cornwell
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "I love Billy Joel!"It would be awesome if Billy read it himself but alas. It is very good!
Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "I love Billy Joel!"While I'm not a mega-fan, I put Billy Joel among the best singers I've ever heard. He actually ranks higher for me than Freddie Mercury.
And to prove that I'm open and not just favoring the oldies but goldies, I put both Bruno Mars and Ariana Grande(even though I dislike most of her songs, that voice, tho...) high on the list as well.
High praise indeed Tommy. I am old and have loved Billy Joel since I was 12 years old (which is high praise when Duran Duran was around the same time!)

It must have taken a lot of planning to pull that off. But that's why I thought it was such a good joke; they did it so well we fell for it!
Finnished Ever Dead - which was really good.Plus, I got the first couple of baby-sitters club books, since all the talk about them in the childhood books thread made me want to read them, so I read Kristy's Great Idea yesterday... I can see why the series was so popular! I loved it, and am now about to start reading Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls.
YAY Victoria! That's so cool you're reading them now :) They were really fun books, I just LOVED them!

I'm about halfway into
and it's so so good, but I think I'll need a break to take it all in. I'll be starting
today

I'm starting Around the World in Eighty Days tomorrow morning (it's night where I am). I'm pretty excited about it, I have no idea if I'm going to like it or not, but I'm into sci-fi, so I guess I will. We'll see! :)

@Heather Oh, I just got that last week! Glad to hear you are enjoying it, I'm a bit apprehensive about it...

Heather wrote: "I just started

The Infinite Sea and after the third chapter, I accidently returned it! So now I am on the wait list again.
