I've literally never considered it but it came up in my school library after being checked out for forever, so i thought hey why not.

I read one small excerpt and was like uh no. I couldn't believe I had ever considered adding it to my reading list."

I did the same thing. One paragraph was all it took for me to be 100% disinterested. No judgement on anyone who likes it or anything, but that's one I'm not even curious about.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments I finished The Warlock (The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel, #5) by Michael Scott earlier today. I wasn't overly crazy about the first couple of books, but really glad I kept with it. One more book and can't wait to see how it ends.

Up next, Theodosia and the Last Pharaoh (Theodosia Throckmorton, #4) by R.L. LaFevers :)

Irene (raenne) I'm reading this one Udvalgt (Dæmondræberen, #2) by Louise Haiberg
I wish you all could read that series, it's so good, but only available in Danish. The author just has such a unique voice and she's incredibly funny!

I finished The Body Electric by Beth Revis and although it was mainly an okay read, the ending was really good and made up for it!

Also finished Blue Lily, Lily Blue (The Raven Cycle, #3) by Maggie Stiefvater and LOVED it, love this series so much!!

Now reading Dove Arising (Dove Chronicles, #1) by Karen Bao , really looking forward to it!

Also going to start Killing Patton The Strange Death of World War II's Most Audacious General by Bill O'Reilly Several of the residents at the assisted living facility I work at are reading it right now and talking about it, so I thought it was time to finally read it!

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Heidi (Yup. Still here.) wrote: "I love Billy Joel!"

While I'm not a mega-fan, I put Billy Joel among the best singers I've ever heard. He actually ranks higher for me than Freddie Mercury.
And to prove that I'm open and not just favoring the oldies but goldies, I put both Bruno Mars and Ariana Grande(even though I dislike most of her songs, that voice, tho...) high on the list as well.

message 12332: by Heidi (new)

Heidi | 2372 comments High praise indeed Tommy. I am old and have loved Billy Joel since I was 12 years old (which is high praise when Duran Duran was around the same time!)

Honestly? Me too... I did fall for it at first. It must have taken a lot of planning to pull that off. But that's why I thought it was such a good joke; they did it so well we fell for it!

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments Finnished Ever Dead - which was really good.

Plus, I got the first couple of baby-sitters club books, since all the talk about them in the childhood books thread made me want to read them, so I read Kristy's Great Idea yesterday... I can see why the series was so popular! I loved it, and am now about to start reading Claudia and the Phantom Phone Calls.

I really like that book. I was on the wait list for The Infinite Sea (The Fifth Wave #2) by Rick Yancey The Infinite Sea and after the third chapter, I accidently returned it! So now I am on the wait list again.
