Haven't got my copy yet, but looking forward to when I can grab a copy and read it! Also looking forward to Winter!

Funny thing is, when I first started reading Cinder (which I only did because it was based on a fairy tale, and being offered for free in exchange for a review) I wasn't sure if I liked it. By the time I was about half way through though, I was hooked! Now I love the series!

LOL!! I'm sort of enjoying it! I don't think I would enjoy GoTs as much if I read it straight through without some other stuff at the same time. It lets me savor my GoTs time even more :)

message 12164: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I did a lot of reading this weekend...

I read the book I said I would be beta reading, which I really enjoyed.

After that, I read Freak City, Dragon Town, and Happy Slumbers (books 2, 3, and 4 of the series Snapdragon Alley starts). It's a really good little series, but there were some parts left unanswered at the end of the series, which was a bit annoying.

Anyway, I'm reading The Bride of Lammermoor now.

I finished reading one beta read, although I'm going to reread it again to make sure I caught everything I want to touch on and get my notes all ready :) Still working on my other beta read, although almost done!

Still reading Firefight (Reckoners, #2) by Brandon Sanderson and I'm loving this one! I just love the silly nerdish humor mixed in with all the action! Fun read :)

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments After starting and then DNF-ing Marking Time (Immortal Descendants, #1) by April White The Gatekeeper's Sons (Gatekeeper's Saga, #1) by Eva Pohler and putting The Sweetest Thing (Lucky Harbor, #2) by Jill Shalvis Rumor Has It (Animal Magnetism, #4) by Jill Shalvis aside to read as ebooks (because I didn't like the narrator)
I settled on Where You Are (Between the Lines, #2) by Tammara Webber on audio, which is book 2 in the series
and Forever for a Year by B.T. Gottfred as an ebook - which is an ARC I need to review. Nothing going in print right now.

These Broken Stars kept me reading, but it was a little too romance heavy for me overall. But it was very beautifully written and an interesting story!

Ashley Marie Really liked Snow Like Ashes (Snow Like Ashes, #1) by Sara Raasch and gave it four stars. So excited to read Icicles Like Kindling and Ice Like Fire. And can these covers BE any prettier? *drools*

Also drooling over my reread of Daughter of Smoke & Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor -- this will likely go down as one of my favorite books of all time. (And if I give it five stars instead of four this time around, it'll be one of the few trilogies to get five stars all the way through.)

Still loving the Locke & Key books too, I'm on book four Locke & Key, Vol. 4 Keys to the Kingdom by Joe Hill my mind has decided to fancast Zachary Quinto as Dodge/Zack/whatever his name is. it's great.

Moloka'i by Alan Brennert is another beautiful book (not just the cover!), the writing is fantastic. It's a lot more emotional than I expected, with a lot of really well-developed characters.
