message 1155: by Jonel (new)

Jonel Just finishing up Visions (The Secret Watchers, #1) by Lauren Klever , followed by Is This All There Is? by Patricia Mann , then I have a list of books that I need to read before buying anything else (silly New Years Resolution of having to narrow down my to read list before buying anything new). This is causing me a huge problem because it's taing more willpower than I have not to run out (or log on, in this case) to buy Fire Country (Country Saga, #1) by David Estes . Hmmmm... My birthday is in a couple weeks. Maybe I'll plant a bee in my sister's bonnet. If she buys it for me, it's not breaking my resolution, right?

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments I bought Fire Country (Country Saga, #1) by David Estes two nights ago and am reading it. I love Siena but I was pronouncing her name "See Ena" but her nickname is "Sie" so is that pronounced "See" or "Sye" which would mean her name is Syna instead of SEE Ena. David, help! It bugs me every time I run into her name.

Oh, thanks, it hung me up everytime I ran into it which was often of course. I am glad it is See Ena and See. It really is a hang up when characters are named and you can't figure out how to pronounce it. It happens more often than I like. It really is something to consider I think. I am loving the story of Siena.

So it's official. I am out of room in my library in my bedroom! I just rearranged all my books so I could make a rather large David Estes section and have no room left!

Hhhmmmm... Have to think about this. I think I need to add another "library" furniture piece. I have a gorgeous one in my entryway.

Thank goodness for ereaders. I'd have piles of books all over my house if all my ebooks were hardbacks! Whew! I love books, but they need to be neatly arranged in shelves in alphabetical order by author by series! :-)

LOL, I always appreciate a bit of humor in books, even in suspenseful or dark situations. Dean Koontz is sort of my idol in this regard, he's the master of blending humor and suspense :)

Yay! btw if you loved Where She Went as much as I did I also recommend [book:The Piper's Son|7417780] The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta . Similar stories (Melina is my favorite YA author ever). Also Saving Francesca Saving Francesca by Melina Marchetta is there we get introduced to Tom (aka The Piper's Son) -- I recommend you read it first if you read Piper's Son but it is not 100% necessary.

All 3 were slightly depressing, although The Reece Malcolm List was a little more fluff.
