I've started reading my PIFM book
in bits and pieces. It's one of those books that is perfect for my exhausted brain right now. ;)

I actually really liked the 5th wave but had no idea Bout the monstrumologist. Only heard it through this group, and kept seeing sick great things about it especially from David and Jenny :) thanks guys!!! But it is brilliant. I feel completely connected to that characters y'all. Like in the prologue of the Isle of blood, I was ready eyed through the whole thing. Will Henry is seriously the best!!! Can't say enough how much I love this series!!!

I have wanted to read these for a while. I don't hear much about them though. Glad to know you like them enough to reread them.

Yay Karen! It is a full cast audiobook which can take some getting used to if you are used to only one narrator but it is worth it :)

I'm reading a few books, but I am most actively reading the following:
and
. So, I am catching up on the classics, as well as supporting new indie authors. I have a stack of books on my night table, as I'm sure the rest of you do, too!

It did! For me The 5th Wave was just okay, but I think it was largely because of how high my expectations were due to all the hype. Then I read it and was like, "That's it?" Whereas I didn't know what to expect from The Monstrumologist and was BLOWN AWAY :) I appreciate youpushingencouraging me to read it!

I'm with you, although I do get why a lot of people like it.

I wasn't a big fan of The 5th Wave, either, and I also feel in the minority. Not really sure why, it just fell kind of flat for me. I am going to try the sequel, though, I hear its good!
I finished
this morning. A quick, fun, solid read.I'll probably take the weekend off from reading to get some outlining done before getting to the library on Monday.

You're welcome! But, as I've told you before, it's me who should thank you... You're the one who wrote the awesome book!

Yes I agree. I had a lot of mixed feelings about The Elite. There were certain scenes that I adored though.
@michelle. Yeah I won't force it. That's why I don't have a lot of expectations for this one. @heather. I had mixed feelings in The Selection, I did like it but there where a lot of things I hated at the same time
The Selection had some irritation for sure but it was worth it in the end. Personally I still feel the first book was the best in the series.

I finnished my ARC of The Harvest and really enjoyed it. It's not one for those with weak stomaches, but if you can handle the content, then it's worth the read; as is the previous book in the series. Now I'm reading Wondering, the Way is Made, which is by the author who's currently author of the month on a Smashwords authors group I'm a member of here on Goodreads.
I have only read the Selection, still need to finish that series! I mostly enjoyed it, although there were some things that really annoyed me!
Finished reading
and this one is my fave of the series so far! I LOVE this fairy tale retelling series! I love how the author mishmashes so many different fairy tales in one story. This one was mostly the Princess and the Swan, but also a little of the Goose Girl, and even Peter Pan! They are just so fun :)

That's so cool! Congrats!! I met R.L. Stine last year at the Tucson book festival. Granddaughter brought all her books from home plus the ones we bought there. He was so gracious to sign them all!!

I pretty much read anything he wrote - around the time I would have been in middle school. I loved Goosebumps and Fear Street so much. :)
