Brittany McCann (brittanylmccann) | 105 comments I am currently reading The Alpha Woman Meets Her Match How Today's Strong Women Can Find Love and Happiness Without Settling by Sonya Rhodes and I feel like so much of this book was written for me. It is a very entertaining and enlightening read!

I truly will be surprised if you don't like this series. It's fun and engaging, so I hope you enjoy.

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments Starting Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas .
I usually abhor high fantasy, but lots of people have said good things about this one, and Leigh picked it for my PIFM challenge.
Not sure what to expect here.

message 11709: by Ashley Marie (new)

Ashley Marie picked up Wicked The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West (The Wicked Years #1) by Gregory Maguire last night. gonna do my best to finish the book this time, I think I've only finished it once before and the last time I read it I only got halfway through. I love Maguire's wry humor.

Still need to finish Cracked (Soul Eater, #1) by Eliza Crewe Bloodhound (Beka Cooper, #2) by Tamora Pierce

I put Wicked down for the night and instead of picking up one of the other books I wrote for two hours before bed. This whole writing thing REALLY throws a wrench into my reading plans lol

I am going to be rereading the Wicked series this year. I've read the first 3, still need to read the last book, and I really want to finish it this year! Although I may skip rereading the 3rd book, I didn't like it nearly as much and I think I still remember enough I'll be okay.

message 11712: by Michelle (new)

Michelle I am reading A Wicked Thing (A Wicked Thing, #1) by Rhiannon Thomas and the first two pages are so funny. (Probably wouldn't be if I was in the same situation though)

Finished The Prisoner of Cell 25 (Michael Vey, #1) by Richard Paul Evans and I really liked it! 4 stars and Love in the Time of Global Warming (Love in the Time of Global Warming, #1) by Francesca Lia Block and it was okay, 3 stars. I enjoyed the mythology aspect and the post apocalyptic setting, but the romance part was just weird.

Also rereading Eragon (The Inheritance Cycle, #1) by Christopher Paolini right now, and going to start Garden Spells (Waverley Family, #1) by Sarah Addison Allen today.

Don't expect much from book 1, but books 2 and 3 are beyond fantastic! Book 1 is actually the least "fantasy" though so you may enjoy it.

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 787 comments OK guys I'm more then half way through the curse of the wendigo and I am in love with this series. This is def a series like chaos walking, isn't in the spotlight of ya books but def should be. The writing is sooo good, and the characters are amazing! And it's one of those reads, like chase walking that u don't have to rush through because u gotta know what comes next. I mean I was a know what happens next but I am happy staying in what's happening at the moment. If that makes sense :)

I used to love high fantasy (The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Sword of Shannara, etc.) but my interest has waned these past few years. I started Throne of Glass but didn't finish, thinking I'd try again at some other time. But I do have it on my PIFM list.

I have held off reading Graceling (Graceling Realm, #1) by Kristin Cashore for the same reason. I got Graceling as one of my PIFM books so I no longer have any excuses. I'm sure I'll enjoy it. ;)

Oh, good idea Heidi! I seem to do better with fantasy on audio! I just put it on hold!!

I just finished my reread of Dust and Decay (Benny Imura, #2) by Jonathan Maberry and I should know better than to listen to the end while in a public place. I put it on pause and then finished in the car which is just as bad as you can't really see while wiping tears away and I was driving. Soooo good though!!

I plan on trying 5th Wave at some point. Monstrumologist is waaaay up on the TBR list, though. My next library trip I'm using strictly to finish series, but the one after that I'll probably pick up all 4 books.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Finished Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (Harry Potter, #3) by J.K. Rowling (reread) today. Always good to go back to the book that made me love the series.

I'll probably read How to Train Your Dragon (How to Train Your Dragon, #1) by Cressida Cowell over the weekend.
