Only a few pages in, but heard a lot of paise for it so thinking I will read it next week.

I'm reading one of our March BotM books, In the After (In the After, #1) by Demitria Lunetta . I was doing an inventory of the books I had on my Kindle and found it. Wheeeeee... I opened it up to read a few pages and got sucked right in!

Great stuff, can't wait to get to know the author in our Q&A next month!

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 787 comments Just finished the monstermologist and it was really good. So different from which I am used to. Mayb because there was no love interests, but once I got about 150 pages in I started to really enjoy it. I feel like it is one of those hidden jewels. I love the characters and how this book is written. Can't wait to start the next one. Glad I stuck with it!

I scare really easily so anything remotely creepy and I'll get nightmares. Oh well!! Thinking about starting Promposal by Rhonda Helms because it's free right now on Pulse It and I'm in a contemporary mood. :)

I just downloaded the audio of In the End (In the After, #2) by Demitria Lunetta and found out it's narrated by Julia Whelan!! Julia's in the process of narrating as Adele in David's The Moon Dwellers (The Dwellers, #1) by David Estes !! Squeeee!!

Up next, The Spindlers by Lauren Oliver

YES! This made me smile so big. I'm so glad you stuck with it and loved it. I completely agree that it's a hidden gem, nowhere near as hyped as The 5th Wave and yet so so good :) I can promise you the second and third books are even better than the first.

I struggled with The Raven Boys a bit too, I'm not sure why. BUt I've heard how incredible the next two books are, so I might start from the beginning and give the series another shot at some point. I still love Maggie Stiefvater!

The entire Raven Cycle series isn't really action packed, but it really wows you with the most unique concepts ever. It's very character driven. I've read all 3, well, listened to all 3 and Wil Patton is genius as narrator! I loved them!

In the last few days:

Finished Flip (Slip, #3) by David Estes --5 EPIC stars; Bloodlines (Bloodlines, #1) by Richelle Mead --4.5 stars, really liked this one; Reboot (Reboot, #1) by Amy Tintera --4 stars, really liked this one too. Great concept! ; Her Dark Curiosity (The Madman's Daughter, #2) by Megan Shepherd --3.5 stars. For some reason I'm somewhat addicted to this series, despite being creepy as all get out. I don't really like the MC at all, and I think the love triangle is stupid. But it has me hooked with this macabre storyline. So I will probably read the last one. Think The Island of Dr. Moreau crossed with Frankenstein.

Next I think I'm going to read The Prisoner of Cell 25 (Michael Vey, #1) by Richard Paul Evans

From the Ashes (Ravenwood Detective Agency Mystery #1) by Sabrina Flynn

Next up:
The Harvest (The Last Orphans Series Book 2) by N.W. Harris and Flip (Slip, #3) by David Estes

I don't usually have more than one Kindle book on the go at once - usually when I read multiple books they're different formats - but there are two this time because I'm desperate to read Flip, but got an ARC of The Harvest, which I'm also eager to read.

So far really liking The Prisoner of Cell 25 (Michael Vey, #1) by Richard Paul Evans Kind of makes me think a little of Percy Jackson, in the age and style.

Also going to FINALLY start my reread of Eragon (The Inheritance Cycle, #1) by Christopher Paolini . I AM GOING TO FINISH THE SERIES THIS YEAR!! I've only read the first 2. Want to reread them since its been 5 years since I read them! Then I can finally read books 3 & 4.
