Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments Over the past few days I've read:

Astro is Down in the Dumps - a cute little rhyming story with great suggestions on how to make yourself or a friend feel better if you're feeling depressed.

Stanley Scotch and The Land of Giants - a nice book, with great promise, but one that could use some work; the characters were two dimentional, and the writing felt a bit flat and emotionless. It's a shame, because it was a great story concept, and if the characters and plot had been given some life, it might have been a fantastic read.

Astro's Adventures: The Gypsy Curse and A Christmas Calamity (books 5 and 6 in the "Astro's Adventures" series; kindly gifted to me by the author in exchange for reviews) - just as good as the other books in the series so far.

I'm now reading Neptune's Trident! (book 7 in the "Astro's Adventures" series; also kindly gifted to me by the author in exchange for a review).

I read a few chapters, but I didn't like the switch to Four. I don't mind if point of view shifts throughout, but it's odd to switch after two books. I'm sure I'll adapt. Hoping to read more tonight, but been trying to write today.

I'm about to finish both books I'm working on. Rot and Ruin (Benny Imura, #1) by Jonathan Maberry on audio and Deeply Odd (Odd Thomas, #6) by Dean Koontz .

I'll probably start Dust and Decay (Benny Imura, #2) by Jonathan Maberry on audio and Saint Odd (Odd Thomas, #7) by Dean Koontz when I finish.

I need to have an ebook going too so will probably go with one of my Pick It For Me books, Ruin and Rising (The Grisha, #3) by Leigh Bardugo or Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick

Storm Arashi (stormarashi) | 1130 comments I couldn't keep reading Clockwork Prince... I just wasn't feeling well yesterday and so my goal to read some epic paranormal romance/Shadow Hunter goodness went down the drain... Made it to chapter two but I'm putting it away right now. I can't focus on it when I have the rest of the Darkest Minds mocking me on my shelf.

So, I'm about 30% into Allegiant (Divergent, #3) by Veronica Roth and now I know the big secret (at least I think it's the big one). Umm... hasn't this been done before? Granted the whole faction concept was new, but the driver behind it all feels very... familiar. Shall push ahead at some point today.

Awww I want to keep reading!... but I need to study. Hopefully tomorrow I will return to the book and find out how dark it gets.
