It starts to make more sense in a few more chapters. And it gets CRAZY the further you get in. :)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I read Astro's Adventures: The Great Escape and Astro's Adventures. the Golden Treasure yesterday. Then read Astro's Adventures: Rampaging Rats and Astro's Adventures: Major Dakota's Ghost today.

All four were really great, though I continue to have a problem with the fact the dogs and cats in the stories are meant to be physically like your average pets, yet are able to do things you would need opposable thumbs to do. It's not enough to put me off the series though, and I plan to read the rest of it, since it really is a cute and entertaining little series.

The books in this post are books one to four in the series. I've also read book eight (I didn't realize it wasn't the first book until I started reading it, and it was only after I was done that I realized it was book eight). I recommend reading them in order, because they contain spoilers about events in the earlier books. In the case of Astro's Adventures: Rampaging Rats and Astro's Adventures: Major Dakota's Ghost it matters even more, because Major Dakota's Ghost follows on from exactly where Rampaging Rats leaves off. I suspect the same is true with books seven and eight, judging by how Dogs In Space (which is book eight) starts, but as I have yet to read books five through seven, that last is just a guess.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments I finished The Queen of the Tearling (The Queen of the Tearling, #1) by Erika Johansen last night. Really liked it, but in this particular story that had a lot more to do with plot than character. I will say, I heard Emma Watson is supposed to play the lead character in a movie and I just cannot see that.

Then this morning I read 3 of the 6 Amulet graphic novels Amulet, Vol. 1 The Stonekeeper (Amulet, #1) by Kazu Kibuishi Amulet, Vol. 2 The Stonekeeper's Curse (Amulet, #2) by Kazu Kibuishi Amulet, Vol. 3 The Cloud Searchers (Amulet, #3) by Kazu Kibuishi I don't know how many of you guys read comics/gn's, but this series would technically count as YA and has an awesome female lead many seem to be in search of. Plus it's just so good.

Up next I'll probably read The Blade of Shattered Hope (The 13th Reality, #3) by James Dashner
