A very humorous time travel story. Absolutely must read

The first half is more entertaining than anything, but the second half has some parts that may make you cry.

It didn't make me as sad as many say it made them, but I really liked it.

I'm reading the Brilliant Monster Haven series by RL Naquin about a clumsy empath wedding planner, her closet monster roomie who cooks like a masterchef and all their magical creature friends.

Something similar happened to my friend that's the only reason I cried.

Actually recently (view spoiler) so it did hit me in the personal feels. It's just hard for books to get me to cry. Plus, I was recommended the book because I loved a comic called I Kill Giants, which had a very similar theme, so I was super prepared for it. I've also written a short piece with a similar theme(my first ever published piece(holla)).
If not for how prepared I was, it probably would have destroyed me haha. I Kill Giants did.

Daughter of Smoke and Bone is one of my favorites books/series. I have read it three times. If you have the chance to listen to the audio, give it a try. It is amazing! My vote is Daughter of Smoke and Bone.

I would suggest reading
before you read Throne of Glass. It will give you the background that I think is needed. They were excellent.

I actually read Throne of Glass first and then went back and read Assassin's Blade.
I am going to read Daughter of Smoke and Bone first. My boyfriend has my copy of Throne of Glass. LOL

Dooeeeet. There's a lot of really good ones out there. Just avoid This is Not A Test by Courtney Summers, it sucked.

I finished reading Bleak House, which I liked but didn't love. Then I read Charm: An Amazing Story of a Little Black Cat, which is a very touching story.
I'm reading The Last Orphans now.
I just finished Yes Please by Amy Poehler. I ended up switching over from hard copy to audio book about a third of the way through and I really loved the audio book. The hard cover was great as well, but I enjoyed listening to Amy narrate way more.I just started listening to
a couple hours ago and started
a few days ago. I may have to throw a lighter read in there as well.
I'm just about to start
. It was recommended to me as a read alike for Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Supernatural - and I couldn't say no to Buffy or Sam and Dean. Let's hope it lives up to its potential. I'm not sure about this cover though...

I also started
as I'm craving historical fiction again. It's ok... I am NOT in love with the writing style though. I want the story though so I'll continue to trudge through. For now. ;)

@Karen. There's a series of Wolf Hall thats just started on TV. You might like to watch it. If you live outside the UK though you may have to wait a while for it to arrive in your country. I think its a BBC programme.
