Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments I'm 65 pages into Timebound.....I think I'm still suffering from some serious book hangover from Brew! I wasn't able to read anything for days afterwards and am still dragging my heels lol :) Thanks @davidestes!!!

I LOVE when I get book hangovers, Rose!!

I'm pretty sure I'll have one from David's Grip. I had my best friends over for poker night and even though I love them and had the best time tonight, Grip has been in the back of my mind and I've just wanted to get back to it!!

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @Jenny & @Karen thinking I should have just continued with Boil before diving into Timebound but will pick Boil back up after Timebound. Timebound is good, just have terrible book hangover from all the action in Brew, which was amazing!!!!! Still convinced witches may invade my house some night lol :)

Well, it's almost Halloween so now's the perfect time for witches to show up. ;-D You and Victoria can huddle together. Muahahahahaa!!

Maybe you should switch to Boil (Salem's Revenge, #2) by David Estes . Rysa wouldn't mind! That's practically the only way to get over the book hangover. Just dive right into the sequel.

Then you'll be able to give Timebound (The Chronos Files, #1) by Rysa Walker your full attention after you've finished the Salem's Revenge series . You'll need it for Timebound! :) It's pretty intricate with the time travel.

So many incredible books to read!!

That's OK. It's the sign of a good book; means I got really in to them!

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments I finished The Journal of Curious Letters (The 13th Reality, #1) by James Dashner last night. Really fun read. Gives you a lot of action, and a nice little bit of fun puzzles to ponder as Tick tries to solve them. I recommend.

Up next, The Dark Hills Divide (The Land of Elyon, #1) by Patrick Carman

I go through that alot, Victoria! Always so many to choose from so I read a couple of chapters of several until one keeps me reading. It usually depends on my mood at the time. :)

Next up The Queen of Zombie Hearts (White Rabbit Chronicles, #3) by Gena Showalter

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @Karen, @Jenny, & @Victoria I might become really paranoid about witches coming to get me if I read Boil lol :) I decided to do something I do often when suffering from a book hangover after a heavy action-packed read.....pick up a light fun book & then return to Boil & Timebound, decided to finish my Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban book! Just what I needed :)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments Karen: Yeah, I know... So many books, so little time! If I don't have any specific books lined up because of reviews or whatever, I usually just scroll through my selection of books until one feels right, if you know what I mean. I've got a very large book collection, so this can take a while sometimes, LOL!

I know exactly what you mean, Victoria!

What's worse is working late and dying to finish that ONE book, but you know if you pick it up, you'll have no control and it will be at least 2 or 3 a.m. before you finish. I am so tired and it's already past 11 and I have an early morning, but I am dying, DYING to finish Grip!! Stupid work!! 13 hour day today and another one just like it tomorrow. :(

I'm FLYING through The Selection, already at 80%. Has anyone else read this book? I feel like I'm probably the last person LOL. It's a weird one for me as it feels like reading a YA version of The Bachelor, really predictable, not particularly unique, but for some reason I'm having trouble putting it down and really enjoying it. I guess that's why The Bachelor is so successful :P

message 9682: by Heidi (new)

I flew through it too. For me, it felt less dystopian and more "fairy tale", although it has some dystopian factors. That was honestly my biggest complaint, the lack of world building. But overall I liked it. Still need to read the rest of the trilogy.

After that, I'm going to try rereading The Darkest Minds. I've never reread books before because I feel like I'll enjoy it less if I know what's going to happen, so I'm doubting that I'll actually get through it, but it doesn't hurt to try.
