Cindee | 331 comments im so suprised at how many people loved Gone Girl. I read it in another group and all of us thought it was just all over the place. it would get you hooked then be slow, then hooked, then slow....then what the??? with the ending.....ack too much, we were all so shocked they made a movie of it. I guess thats how they get made more people love it then hate it.

I had mixed feelings about the book, but somehow I think it would make a great movie.

I promise his storyline gets better. By book six everything turns out perfectly (I know, I know, that's a lot of pages to get through). If it makes you feel any better, his character doesn't change, even though he has.

ABSOLUTELY. And I hate to put down The 5th Wave because I know a lot of people love it and it got great reviews. For me I think it was just overhyped and I was expecting one thing and got another. If I had read it under different circumstances I might have liked it more. It was definitely well-written.

Please tell me nothing bad happens to Simon or Alec or Jace or Clary or Mangus or Izzy or Maia or Jordan or Luke rlor Jocelyn cause I've read the first five but still haven't read CoHF. I've been reading so many books with terribly sad endings with main characters dying that anything happened to any of the I think I will stop reading books all together

Oh don't get me wrong. I did not love it. I also did not hate it (well at times I did). I am VERY ambivalent about that book and a year after reading it still don't really know how I feel about it.

message 9143: by Cindee (new)

Cindee | 331 comments I read my own review because I read it actually two years ago, I just remember I wasnt a fan. Anyway in my review I sounded like you Heidi, one minute I liked it and the next I didnt liked it. my biggest complaint was that the author seemed to have so many ideas in the end and decided to use all of them instead of picking just one. and then the end ends like it did and your like....no way I just got suckered into that for that long to end like that lol. books we love and hate at the same time lol.

It is the only book I have read that caused such ambivalent feelings. If you read my review you can see my ambivalence - in fact I compared it to smelling something really funky and wanting someone else to smell it too.
