ive been reading a lot of the same books you guys post in this thread, so far I havnt been dissapointed. so just finished up Matter of Days, which was really good, I thought anyway. And I've heard a lot of you say you liked the False Prince....ive had it for awhile now, the cover just screams boooring, to me. Well I started reading it and bam...im hooked!

I'm definitely enjoying it! WAY dark and creepy, which I don't mind. My only gripe is that it's getting pretty repetitive when (view spoiler)[ the Monstrumologist keeps saying "Snap to, Will Henry!" I mean, I get that it's part of his character, and it was funny at first, but now it's just annoying. Minor grip, everything else is awesome! (hide spoiler)]

You're about as far as I got before i gave up on the book. Simon was the only character I enjoyed at all up to that point.

Simon is by far my favourite character.
Clary's annoying, and Jace isn't all that bad but he's getting in between Simon and Clary. Grr.
Isabelle hasn't really done much at all up until this point, and to be frank, all Alec has done is complain and whine. So yeah, Simon is the only saving grace here.

Oh me too, although I don't think Clary deserves him at all. All I can say is you will LOVE this series if you like Simon. I LOVED Simon, he was easily my fave character in it :)

Simon is really one of my favorites throughout the series! :) Clary not so much.

I liked Jace until the 5th book. Then not so much. Then loved him again in the last book. :) I did like Simon throughout but I was more Team Jace.

So far the series is good to me, but not great. I keep hearing that the second half of the series gets way better.

I'm glad you're enjoying The 5th Wave, a lot of people did. It just wasn't for me. I won't go into why as it doesn't really matter because you're loving it! Hope you enjoy the rest of the read, and I think the sequel comes out soon :)

I reread The Maze Runner a few times before I finally read the next one and each time I reread it, it lost some of its luster for me :/ So it's not just you!
