I liked all three, but the last two didn't hold the same magic as the first one. They were enjoyable, and I'm glad I read them and saw where the story went, but the first one stands apart for me.

I finished House of Ivy & Sorrow by Natalie Whipple and really enjoyed it!

Now reading Vivian Divine Is Dead by Lauren Sabel which I was really looking forward to, but am not enjoying as much as I hoped. The writing is less than stellar IMO.

Loved this series Tommy Vampire Academy!! =)

message 8607: by Daniel (new)

Daniel (pickyreader1) | 1925 comments The Maze Runner series was good, but it did get steadily worse over the three books IMO.

Natalie (Never trust a duck) Now I'm reading The Awakening by Kate Chopin for school.........ughhhh It literally says on the back it's about marital infidelity and a girl's sexual awakening. WHY IS THIS CONSIDERED CLASSIC

That's one of my least favorite books I had to read for class. I read it my first semester of college and my professor went on and on about how important it was but I hated the main character and I felt like the book was sending really mixed messages.

Yep, I'm with you. I loved the first book was a little let down by the sequels :(

Finished The Shadow Throne (The Ascendance Trilogy, #3) by Jennifer A. Nielsen ! This was an INCREDIBLE ending to an AWESOME series, so satisfied!!

Now starting Raging Star (Dust Lands, #3) by Moira Young . I'm trying to keep my expectations low based on the reviews and the sequel, which wasn't nearly as good as the first book. But I'm still excited!

message 8620: by Nancy (new)

Nancy (paper_addict) I just read Going Gray by Brian Spangler and it was fantastic!

I guess you could say this is a pre-quell to Gray Skies (Gray Skies, #1) by Brian Spangler which I had read last year. Even though I had read this book first, I was on the edge of my seat reading Going Gray by Brian Spangler

I think these books are considered YA. Also apocalypse and dystopian if you area fan of the genre then these are worth checking out!

Ron's my favorite, but I love Hermione, too. Their growth from book to book is phenomenal :)
