Looooovvveeee HP. I was just looking at my copies of the series and realized just how very worn they are. Very telling on how many times they've been read. :)

I'm nearly done and I feel like it's so much of the messages and beliefs that Koontz holds dear all rolled up into one book. It's poignant and touching and sad and heartwarming, all at the same time!

message 8524: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Innocence by Dean Koontz is the one and only Dean Koontz book I've ever read. It was strange and different. I wasn't sure I liked it at first but the ending pulled everything together for me and I wound up really enjoying it and finding it beautiful. Any other Koontz books you guys recommend?

All of Koont's books are unique Teresa. My favorite is Restless but I also love the Odd Thomas series and the Frankenstein series.

I've loved Dean Koontz since forever and a day and I have MOST of his books going back to when he had no hair on his head. His books are always dark but always always filled with hope in some way.

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments Just started The Ghost and the Goth (The Ghost and the Goth, #1) by Stacey Kade based on my gf's insistence that it gets "really interesting".

There's 2 POV characters. So far one is quite annoying and uninteresting and the other is pretty cool and quite interesting. I'll for sure finish it, whether I like it or not, we'll see.

message 8530: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 823 comments Yeah, Koontz is different, strange and unique. I think that's why he and King get compared all the time. Not to take anything away from king but I find Koontz much more intriguing.

message 8531: by Teresa (new)

Teresa Thanks Tracy and Tommy. I read the book descriptions of a few of Koontz's other books and I felt sort of on the fence whether I'd like them or not so it's always nice to get some recommendations.
