I am currently reading it and I am on chapter 10! I have only been reading this book today and I would love it if I was able to finish it tonight!

Cindee | 331 comments Jenny you have got me curious about We Were Liars by E. Lockhart So I've downloaded to my reader. It sounds interesting, and I love a surprise ending. And I guess Im gonna check out TFIOS....so many people in this group is saying how amazing it is. My girlfriend read and said it was really good. However, she and I read such totally different genre's, so I didn't even think to pick it up. But since everyone loves it here I decided to get it myself.

Prisoner of Night and Fog (Prisoner of Night and Fog, #1) by Anne Blankman is really good so far, but sad and intense. This poor girl!

I really enjoyed Reboot and Rebel Kaitlin. There a little different and refreshing.

message 7908: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Stoolfire | 2047 comments I only made it through 2 chapters into Northanger Abbey by Val McDermid . I'm so disappointed, too, because of all of the Austen retellings this one could have been the most fun in a present day YA context.

message 7909: by Lauren (new)

Lauren Stoolfire | 2047 comments I'm just starting Uninvited (Uninvited, #1) by Sophie Jordan . I've been wanting to read it for awhile now - Minority Report and The Scarlet Letter sounds like a pretty interesting combination to me! I don't know if any one else participates in checking out surprise wrapped books at the library, but this time around I randomly chose this one! What good luck! :)

message 7910: by Belkis (new)

Belkis (bminaya) | 133 comments Finished reading Deeper (Caroline & West, #1) by Robin York Under Different Stars (Kricket, #1) by Amy A. Bartol A Different Blue by Amy Harmon and loved them all. Really good reads. I especially LOVED Under Different Stars and can't wait for book 2 next year! Now reading Unteachable by Leah Raeder and King Hall (Forever Evermore, #1) by Scarlett Dawn

message 7920: by Tommy (new)

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments I just finished Champion (Legend, #3) by Marie Lu I didn't love the series, but it was an enjoyable read.

Now I'm torn between reading Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2) by Veronica Rossi and Lost (Magic Thief, #2) by Sarah Prineas I really enjoyed the first book of each of those series.

OOOOR, I may start rereading the Harry Potter series. That's been on the to-do-list for a while.

Decisions, decisions...

message 7921: by Heather (new)

Heather haha Tommy I had that same problem the other day but I just finished TFIOS and I am currently reading Unravel Me and I am loving it so far!

The Shatter Me series is one that I've kind of written off, but since have heard all kinds of good things about it and am reconsidering it. I did the same with Under the Never Sky and ended up loving it haha.

message 7924: by Cindee (new)

Cindee | 331 comments I just finished reading Amongst The Ruins and im mad! this book is long, and it had its snore moments, but overall pretty decent. I rarely read reviews as most reviewers give a more detailed synopsis of the book which in that case its like why read it anyway......BUT....if I had I wouldve read that the publishers are being difficult and there might not be a book 2. the author left the book wide open, tying up no loose endings in prep for the second book, its like a cliffhanger. now I have stories and characters stuck in my head that I want to know what happens, and oh sorry no book for you.....grrrrr, sorry had to vent...blah! I need to read some books that aren't trilogies for a bit maybe lol

Cindee | 331 comments Hey Jenny finished reading We Are Liars. The beginning was a bit confusing, as there were so many characters right from the beginning. But I got thru it and then it was like ok hmmm, this is good. lol its a quick read for sure. some part of the end I kinda guessed, but not how it all came about. cried like a little girl. thanks for suggesting it :)

You're welcome, Cindee!! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Its definitely different, but the writing is soooo good!

message 7934: by Cindee (new)

Cindee | 331 comments yeah I agree the writing was different, I love the metaphors for her cries, she was bleeding, I had to keep looking back thinking did she try to commit suicide and I missed it lol. I love books with suprise endings they are few and far between, the only one that sticks out is My sisters keeper. do you know any other good books with suprise endings.....that should totally be a thread! lol
