I already bought this and paid full price, but one of our Q&A author's newest book is on Kindle's Deal of the Day! Sand Omnibus (Sand, #1-5) by Hugh Howey and it looks like the audible book is also on special. Each are only $1.99!!!

I'm currently listening to Sand on audio. Unique concept!

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H...

Hugh Howey's hilarious Q&A is here: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Ehh it was not for me, I guess. I loved the concept but I didn't think it had enough plot/conflict, plus the whole supernatural aspect was not really explained at all. Didn't connect much with the characters, either. Oh well.

Much respect for 2 reasons: 1. Disliking a book and landing on "Oh well, it was not for me." So many people react with hatred when they dislike something. for me, as long as someone loves it, it still has value regardless of how I felt.

and 2. The Avatar reference. Sokka is my guy(even though Toph is my favorite character overall).

Tommy Hancock (tommyhancock) | 957 comments The last book I finished was Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles, #1) by Marissa Meyer I absolutely loved it.

I'm currently reading Spearwood Academy One Episodes 1-5 (The Spearwood Academy Series) by A.S. Oren and The Adventure Tournament (The Adventurers, #1) by Nicholas Andrews both of which I picked up as ARR books. Both are good so far but I'm in a tiny reading slump(which is entirely my own doing, not the books).

Haha yeah, I agree. I am very critical a lot of the time––but I also try to see the good in everything, and of course I realize that something may work well for others and just not for me, and vice versa.

YES. I'm always glad when someone catches the reference in my username. :D Sokka is probably my favorite character––although yes, Toph is amazing as well!

By the way, if anyone else here has also read it, did McKeon Industries and Eden remind you of The Dharma Initiative and The Swan from Lost? Or was that just me? :)

Now I'm going to start in on These Broken Stars (Starbound, #1) by Amie Kaufman which I want to call Space Titanic Survival... :)

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments The author, Bailey Sims, sent me the whole series of this Dead in Bed The Complete Novel (Real Love, #1) by Bailey Simms and I am sure because of the title alone I would not have read this on my own, but I have to admit I am loving it, it reads smoothly and is exciting. I began it yesterday and am already 55% finished.
