With the flavor of dystopian in there as well! I really loved the world building, especially in this book!

No, no, no. I don't have enough time to read the ones already on my TBR list. Now I've got to check this one out. Read and loved the Mistborn trilogy, back to back last year.

They are so unique and different, completely different from any fantasy I've read in YA, and just lyrical and gorgeous! You are right, Karen, major book withdrawals! Anything I read now will pale in comparison I'm sure!

message 6055: by David (new)

David Staniforth (davidstaniforth) | 149 comments Lyrical. Now I have to add it; I love clever use of language.

message 6057: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 823 comments Finished Ruby Red (Precious Stone Trilogy, #1) by Kerstin Gier and this is an excellent read. Have you guys read these yet? I can't believe I have not heard a lot about it. Now I am listening to Splintered (Splintered, #1) by A.G. Howard and reading Affair by Amanda Quick because I am trying to be a grown up.

I finished reading The School for Good and Evil (The School for Good and Evil, #1) by Soman Chainani and I really liked it! Really great twist on fairy tales! And also very dark, did not feel more like YA than MG!

I just finished reading First Love by James Patterson straight through--it was a good, fun, quick read, but the last third of the book--OMG, was seriously so unbelievably SAD, I was bawling by the last chapter, and it took me forever to stop!

message 6063: by Kritika (new)

Kritika (spidersilksnowflakes) Finally got my hands on the audiobook for Cress (Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer ! I have been listening to this whole series on audio, and they have been excellent so far :)

I'm going through a bit of a book withdrawal after finishing Infinite (Newsoul, #3) by Jodi Meadows . Dang. I have all these books I really want to read but can't seem to settle on any one book! Hope I get over this quickly! ;)

Next up once I can settle on a book will be Cress (Lunar Chronicles, #3) by Marissa Meyer Enders (Starters, #2) by Lissa Price or Altered (Crewel World, #2) by Gennifer Albin

Which one do you guys think I should read next?

message 6068: by Mara (new)

I'm on hold for this one but not sure about the crying thing. I haven't read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green because I know it's sad.

I'm not going to lie, I originally really wanted to read the book because the cover is absolutely gorgeous and it takes place in the 1920s. I'm only a little over a chapter in, but it has a really interesting start. I'm glad I'm FINALLY reading this book.
