Zoe Cannon (zoecannon) Reading Shift Omnibus Edition (Silo, #2) (Wool, #6-8) by Hugh Howey for the buddy read. Also started rereading The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games #1) by Suzanne Collins - I want to reread the first two before seeing the second movie :)

Ela | 81 comments Just finished The Bitter Kingdom (Fire and Thorns, #3) by Rae Carson and I'm a little heartbroken because I want more! *sigh* It made me really think "wow, these characters really do live in these pages."
So now I'm going to attempt to distract myself with Birthmarked (Birthmarked #1) by Caragh M. O'Brien I hope it blows my socks off! :)

Sherrie | 1212 comments I finished Game (Jasper Dent #2) by Barry Lyga and The Wig in the Window by Kristen Kittscher over the weekend. I loved Game even more than I Hunt Killers! The Wig in the Window was a fun middle grade read. Now I'm reading The Fourth Stall by Chris Rylander In the Shadow of Blackbirds by Cat Winters and listening to The Coldest Girl in Coldtown by Holly Black on audio CD.

I felt the same way about the Bitter Kingdom...I reread the last chapter like 5 times when I finished, because I didn't want to let it go! One of the best YA fantasies EVER!!

Birthmarked is very good, I really enjoyed that series. Very different than most of what is out right now!

Good to know about the audio for Coldest Girl in Coldtown. That sounds like something I'd rather listen to than read.

All 3 of the books in that series, I reread certain scenes a few times, because the characters and their banter is just hilarious, or moving, or beautiful...such great writing! And when I read Crown of Embers for the first time, I reread the whole thing AGAIN that same day!

Wow! That's commitment! I unfortunately didn't get into it until about halfway through Crown of Embers but now that I fell in love with the characters and the story, I want to read the first book again and see if it will change my mind since I didn't like it at all the first time around.

So has everyone heard of Kindle First? Its a new thing Amazon is doing--once a month, you can buy an advance copy of selected books for your Kindle for $1.99!

I'm mentioning it because for December, one of the books is Timebound by Rysa Walker ! I loved this book so much, I read and reviewed it when it was still an Indie book and I loved it! It won the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award this year as well. So worth it for $1.99!

Heads up for those with Prime-you get to choose a kindle first book for free every month. :)
This book looks awesome, thanks for the recommendation. :)

G.G. (ggatcheson) @David I don't think so because I am not and I saw the book for 1.99$ with her link. (Didn't buy it though. Maybe it would have stopped me?)

No you don't have to be a Prime member, but it sounds like if you are, you get it free!

I thought it was a great idea, too! I bought Timebound, mainly because nothing else interested me, and now I get the cool new looking cover. I still have my review copy, but that one was from Feb. 2013, so this one is probably been changed a little.

And I can't help marvelling at how one of my own characters is close to Chava, at least in some ways. But then, golems fascinate me, and those very aspects are surely part of what should be addressed when writing about them.

Day 1 of the Reading Cram started off amazingly well! YAY! I have to say, I am a little nervous with such high expectations now! Last I checked, we had 106 participants!!

I finished reading One Tiny Lie (Ten Tiny Breaths, #2) by K.A. Tucker and it was good, but not great--I enjoyed it, though, pretty quick read!

Now reading A Spark Unseen (The Dark Unwinding, #2) by Sharon Cameron and I'm so glad I picked this to read next, I am LOVING it!!

Jen (jenwesner) | 1222 comments I just finished Throne of Glass (Throne of Glass, #1) by Sarah J. Maas and loved being in that world! I also just finished Ashfall (Ashfall, #1) by Mike Mullin and Ashen Winter (Ashfall, #2) by Mike Mullin in print, and also loved being in that world! I do want to get to Crown of Midnight (Throne of Glass, #2) by Sarah J. Maas soon, but when will the 3rd book be out? I wonder if I should wait.

I started Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn on audio last night, still reading Phoenix (Black City, #2) by Elizabeth Richards in print.
I'm debating on the next e-book. I think maybe
Trust in Me (Wait for You, #1.5) by J. Lynn or The Edge of Always (The Edge of Never, #2) by J.A. Redmerski .

I think just about all the big publishers and series have about 1 year between books. Sometimes even longer. Crown of Midnight came out in August. I hate it.

I should just wait for the full series before I start reading, but living in the blogosphere, I have to read what everyone else is reading!! Its a vicious cycle...

Just think, David, someday, when you're all big and famous, we may be cursing you to HURRY UP and get the next book out!! lol
