I picked up on audio last night. But - meh.

Also finished and IT WAS AMAZING....unlike anything I've read. Felt like a gold old fashioned dark fairy tale, but also modern. I teared up at the end..the characters actually reminded me of Leisel and Rudy from The Book Thief. Beautiful, fun 5 star read!

Starting a 2 week+ trip today, so I gave up trying to decide what to read and just started at the top of my audio list (which is alphabetical). I'm now a little of the way into . Apparently it's a Persephone myth retell - and so far, just ok. I am committed to getting these print books read while I'm gone:

David, if the Dwellers series was on audio, I'd have read it through at least twice by now. I am going to get it read by the end of the year, I swear!

(plus I've asked for an iPad mini to read all my Kindle/iBooks, so that will help immensely! It's such a pain to drag my laptop around trying to read books)

I just finished . David, do you know this book? It's advertised as time travel, but it's really not about that at all. It's set in New Zealand and is basically about a biological apocalypse. It has a lot of stuff crammed in - genetics, bio-warfare, gamma ray bursts, Maori culture, etc. This guy really did his homework, despite the fact that the whole thing is highly implausible. Anyway - you and Karen might both really like it.
