Nice! I liked The Maze Runner the best of the three too, but I liked The Death Cure second most, although I agree there's still a lot missing! Are you going to read The Kill Zone? I haven't yet and am still trying to decide :)

message 452: by Mara (new)

Mara (maraanne) Yeah, I have The Kill Zone on hold at the library - and it'll naturally take forever to come in because there's tons of people ahead of me. I'm wondering if maybe the Author will explain a few things in the prequel that he didn't have time to explain in The Death Cure, even though it has a completely different set of characters.

One of my book blog friends just reviewed this. She said that there was nothing new explained and that it follows completely different characters that weren't even in the main trilogy.

I read The Kill Order (Maze Runner, #0.5) by James Dashner and thought it was well worth reading. Yes, all new characters, but I felt like it answered any questions I had. But... now there are lots of new questions! ;-)

Finished Opal (Lux, #3) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Thursday and was in tears because of the ending. So I decided to finish Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning today and all I can say is OMG! Why do I torture myself that way?

If you have read either of these books you will know what I am talking about. I will NOT read another series unless I have all of the books sitting beside me!

Oh my goodness, Dreamfever has the worst ending ever! Are you walking around like a zombie? Please tell me you have shadow fever at hand!

message 463: by Tracy (new)

Tracy | 823 comments No Rebekah I don't. I have been trying to read Dreamfever for two months. Then I read Opal and was so frustrated and heartbroken. I have checked out Dreamfever again from the library so I thought, what the heck I'll finish Dreamfever. OMG! I can't believe the cliffhanger and my library doesn't open again until the middle of next week. I won't know who until then!
Think I will lay off reading series for a while. They give me a hangover.

Caedy Eries (karida) | 151 comments Okay, so I shaved 5 books off my list (which 195 is still an EPIC accomplishment for the year).

I'm finishing up The Selection (The Selection, #1) by Kiera Cass and finished Saving Halloween by Lisa Ard which is a cute middle grade book that I was given to review. Gonna be starting Dream Team (Dream Seekers, #2) by Lisa Ard which is another middle grade book from the same author of Saving Halloween and shouldn't take me very long at all to get through.

LOVED the Maze Runner!
The Selection was good, I really enjoyed the read, but it felt more fairy tale/fantasy to me rather than dystopian.

Now reading Entwined by Heather Dixon

Finished Living in the Dark (Darkness Through the Light, #1) by Rebekah Campbell was super! Loved it!

I need to read The Maze Runner (Maze Runner, #1) by James Dashner and the rest of the books in that series, because I'm OCD with book series and can't just read one book in a series.

Yeah, it just keeps going! But, #4 is by far my favorite! Have you read the .5's yet? Those are absolutely fantastic and give you more glimpses into the adventures glossed over between the novels.

Finished Dream Team (Dream Seekers, #2) by Lisa Ard and not sure what I'm going to start next.

Brooke (thecovercontessa) Finn Finnegan by Darby Karchut ARC. I was determined to finish before the new year, but I don't think it will happy since I'm pretty busy today.
The Edge of Never by J.A. Redmerski have heard great things. Reading for a blog tour. So far it's ok. I like the dual POV. We'll see if I can get into it. Contemporaries aren't really my thing.
