Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments Carrie, I just got into baking about a year ago. I LOVE to cook, but baking is very different. At least it is to me.

Carrie (icanhasbooks) I fail at cooking, I'm slowly starting to make things taste good lol. I can cook and it'll smell lovely, but it's kinda tasteless. Lol.

I can do Mac an Cheese tasty though.

Thanks for clarifying!

I'm hopeless at cooking. I can make stuff that my kids will eat, but it's never anything fancy or even tasteful enough to write home about...
My baking on the other hand.. I've had friends ask me for my baked goods specifically as presents, which is just as well since I love baking but I wouldn't fit through the door if I ate it all myself. It's a stress relief for me.

Carrie (icanhasbooks) I made a chocolate banana cake a little while ago, and omg it was good. Like have a slice every cup of coffee good.

I just followed the normal banana loaf recipe and added 1 1/2 tablespoons of coco to the mix. This was an experiment for me as I had never made a chocolate banana cake before, and I was winging it with the amount of coco.

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 6062 comments that sounds yummy, Carrie. I love banana nut bread. I could eat an entire loaf in one sitting LOL My middle daughter is the baker in our family. Yesterday she cut up some bicuits (the refrigerator kind that pop out of the can) and poured melted butter over them before baking and then sprinkled them with brown sugar, regular sugar and a dash of cinnamon. They were delicious!

Lisa Kay (lisakayalicemaria) | 20787 comments Sound delish, Carrie! Yes, chocolate and banana go very well together. I used to make a dessert drink with chocolate ice cream and banana liqueur. Yum.
