The power of the cuteness COMPELS you to watch! I know when I go to Comikaze I will see at least one cosplayer in a S.Q.U.A.T. uniform.
I really enjoyed it too!!! Different, fun, entertaining, adorable, just great!(agree with you on Joss ^^)
I was so looking forward to this show. The concept is so cute and kids come up with the craziest stories at a moments notice.I was not dissapointed! Can't wait till the next show.
I've been looking forward to Written By a Kid to premiere since the first G&S video! I love children's imaginations. And Joss of course makes it hilarious, Dave Foley was great casting and Kate Micucci I love on Raising Hope - amazing senses of humor all of them. Kudos to Geek & Sundry for this show!
It's fantastic. I was completely taken by the costume design - how incredibly clever! Looking forward to showing it to the kids over the hols (I for one do not believe the Jet Stream will ever move so I'm saving it for a particularly wet, grumpy day!).
First of all, I love the concept! Kids have such an amazing imagination and they are relatively free from the constraints that tend to shape our adult view on things. They come up with the most fantastic stories and solutions and I think the team did a great job bringing this first story to life. The costume design, the colors and textures, it's all different and refreshing. And cute! I can't wait for the next episodes.
It was excellent. Kate "Oates" Micucci and Joss Whedon were hilarious. And Dave Foley's performance as the dying milkman is worthy of an Emmy. Costume design was so genius, I did not even get it until seeing the behind the scenes video. P.S.I would love to see an episode that is directed by Joss.
Loved it! I am also a big fan of the costume design (and how there was a behind the scenes thing about it - yay extras)! Really looking forward to future episodes.
Thank you guys so much for watching! Next week is actually my favorite, it's so weird I can't even describe it. Two words: Baby arms.
I loved it and I made my mom watch it and she loved it too!
My favorite part was the behind the scenes extras. The story was fun, but getting to see how creative adult minds interpreted Brett's story was really fascinating.

This was exactly what I needed on Friday. Thank you to Felicia and all involved for making such a thing brighten my day. *hugs for all*
Vicky wrote: "I loved it and I made my mom watch it and she loved it too!"I think they struck comedy gold with Written by a Kid. I showed my mom, too. She loved it because it reminded her of the superheroes my brother used to invent as a kid: Rock-Man to the Rescue! Fire-Man and the Haunted House!
(My brother also loved Scary Smash, but he's all grown up now and is a fan of Joss Whedon, so that's no surprise.)
I smile every time I think of the S.Q.U.A.T. team leader knocking on Lady's door, contract in hand. Opportunity knocks!
This is my new favorite show! It is always fun and interesting to hear the stories kids come up with!! I am so looking forward to seeing more. ^_^
I absolutely adored it. It's the sort of story my kid would make up, and to see it brought so lovingly - and hilariously - to life was a real treat. And one day when Whedon is in the old vampire's home (because you know he's welcome there) with aching knees, we'll all know why.
I loved Scary Smash. I've been waiting for Written by a Kid for a while. My 5 yr old watched it with me and thought it was really funny. He cracked up when the "S.Q.U.A.T." team appeared. Having Joss as the S.Q.U.A.T. team leader was brilliant.
Jess wrote: "Have you gotten to see ep 2 Goth Boy? Love it! I see what Felicia meant by baby arms LOL"We all watched it last night... yes... 'baby arms'!
Oh, dear lord. I can't wait to see what my girls make of this one! They loved Scary Smash - eldest scuttled off to start writing her own story :)
My son has asked every time I pick up my iPad if there is a new story. Thankfully Wednesday there was!!! He thought it was cool but didn't like the way the guy dressed. He said he looked too sad. But he was glad the baby helped him be happy. Ahh 4 year olds. I love these stories and especially the baby hands. Crazy!!!
Oh my gosh, I am loving this show! So funny and such a great concept. :) My girls are loving it too (they are 10 & 12) they think it's so cool! :) Can't wait for more!

I agree! It cracks me up that Josh & Will have a hard time keeping it together while she's talking. I'd love to see the unedited version just to see her facial expressions and gestures throughout the whole story. The bit during the credits when they show her explaining the turtles war cry cracked me up! And I loved "Of course I'm in first."
I could watch this episode all day, lol.

I thought it was an incredibly fresh and funny show. And my new heartthrob action hero is Joss Whedon! ;)
