Finally I got my pics :) thank you Vee, I really liked the books you recommended and I guess I'll begin with Firefly lane I think it's an interesting one, though I'm sensitive but I hope I won't cry.

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments Isabella - I rarely cry in books and I was a blubbering mess...I was reading it at work on a night shift, and yeah...my co-workers thought i was nuts because I was crying

Tiffanny Emily

It took me a while to look to all the books you have in your list. I think I'm going to have to go through and add a few more books =) Anywho, I hope that you find at least one book that you'll like this month.

1. Master of the Mountain & Giving Chase (I really really like the Chase Brothers series, and any books by Lauren Dane!)

2. Breaking Free & Dreams of a Dark Warrior ( I am a huge fan of Kresley Cole)

3. The Thirteenth Tale ( I read this book a few years ago, and it was really good. You get to the end and there's a great twist) & The Girl Who Chased the Moon (I LOVE any books by Sarah Addison Allen. She writes stories with a little magic, but not too much. Everytime I finish one of her books I've felt happy)

4. Riding the Storm (I recmmend this whole series. The first two don't have animals in them, but the others do. It's a paranormal series, but their powers are different than most others in paranormal books.) & Pleasure Unbound (Another good series. I really enjoy anything written by Larissa Ione/Sydney Croft)

5. The Pact (I cried for 2 weeks after I finished this book. It's a great book, just very emotional)

6. A Perfect Storm (This is the 4th of a series you had saved. The first book in the series is under #7) & The Red Scarf (This is a really good book that takes place in Russia)

7. When You Dare (This is the first in a series) & The Perfect Play ( I really like this series, plus the covers host very gorgeous looking men!)

8. Trial by Fire & Shadow's Claim

9. The Girl from Junchow & Snow Flower and the Secret Fan

Emily!
I loved all the picks! Alas! I don't have the time to read them all :( in fact you did such a good job I wish I could reserve you to do my future picks! hehehe! I guess I am lucky my picks didn't turn up on time :P
I'll be reading Night Pleasures (Dark-Hunter, #2) by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Wicked Lovely (Wicked Lovely, #1) by Melissa Marr
as for the Buddy Reads I want to read both A Rogue By Any Other Name (The Rules of Scoundrels, #1) by Sarah MacLean and Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by R.L. LaFevers so let me know which one (or both) you want to read with me :)

Thanks again for the great picks!

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments @lindy - you can re-read if you want and you only have to read one book for the month

but your picker isn't going to go to your librarie's page and make sure that books they recommend are available to you - it isn't possible for all of us to do that for each individual person

Thanks again!

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 741 comments Lethal Lovely, I just finished Dark Desires After Dusk (Immortals After Dark, #6) by Kresley Cole and LOVED it! I honestly think this is my favorite so far. Cadeon was just the right mix of cocky and protective and sneaky :) Thanks for pushing me to read this!

message 365: by Desperado (new)

Desperado (lethallovely) | 822 comments Hey, Tania! Finished Firewalker (Stormwalker, #2) by Allyson James & enjoyed it very much. I wasn't hooked on this series after "Stormwalker" but I'm definitely hooked on it now. Thank you very much for the recommendations!

@ Susan: I am SO happy you liked DDAD! ITA about Cadeon! I loved that he didn't take himself as serious as a lot of the dominant heroes in the IAD series. Yay!

Hi, Dee! I'm sorry for my late reply.
Wow, those are some great picks, thank you very much. I didn't think that I will find some interesting books but to my surprise, I have already four perspectives. I am sure that I will read No Mercy (I am a sucker for army women!) and Insurgent (I can't believe I forgot about this series). I also put down Animal Magnetism and The Surgeon, I'll see how it goes. I'm so glad that I finally have some books that I haven't heard about :)

@Vi, thank again! I had some nice picks :)

message 371: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments Finished The Next Best Thing recommended by Amanda. I liked it 3 1/2 stars. Could have been a little shorter but it did make me laugh out loud. Would have been better if cousin was a therapist and not an obstetrician. Whole family could use a little psychiatric support!

message 372: by ~Melissa~ (last edited Aug 07, 2012 06:59AM) (new)

~Melissa~ | 2097 comments Finished my second rec from Carla Taking a Shot - 3rd in her sports series. A quick light read and I enjoyed the main characters of Jenna and Ty in this book much better than the second book (Liz and Gavin)......and there will be a fourth in the series about a Riley cousin!!

Megan L, would you be able to buddy read The Secret and Mystery Man the last two weeks of the month?

message 376: by Susan (susayq ~) (new)

Susan (susayq ~) (susayq) | 741 comments Breann I'm so glad you liked Wild Card. It's one of my favorites by her and I've read it a few times. A buddy for Bared to You would be great! I finished my first pick Blood Song (Blood Singer, #1) by Cat Adams last night. I didn't love this as much as the Sazi series, but it's an interesting world the authors have created. And the last few pages practically guarantees I'll read the next book at some point.

I started After the Golden Age by Carrie Vaughn this morning.

Did you want to buddy read Sugar Creek (Destiny, #2) by Toni Blake ? I can start anytime.
