Penney (pschoener) | 3553 comments Yay Kimmy! I truly appreciate the effort; been there, done that, hated it. Good tip Dee, I'd never thought of a simple copy/paste of books into a word doc. Duh!

Great picks Kimmy, thanks! I'm definitely going with Bossypants. I've been wanting to read it for some time now, plus it fits in the monthly challenge so, win win :-)
I would love to try and fit in Noble House as well, but that's a whole lotta pages, so we'll see...
I've also added Mariana to my TBR because I adore Susanna Kearsley and I'll look into the Lisa Kleypas books since I love her too.
Thanks again!

Your pick looks good!
I will probably start with The Leopard Prince or Ransom to start lightly :)

layla is a picky reader | 667 comments Rishika wrote: "Hi Layla, This is mypicks for you, hope you love them.

1) Superman- Rainbow road By: Lisa Kleypas or Pride and prejudice by: Jane eyer
2) Green Lantern: Devils bride By: Stephanie laurens
3)Batman: Endgame By: Ann Aguirre or Graden spells By: Sarah Addison Allen.
4) Wolverine: Archangels storm: By: Nalini singh or Eternal Hunter By: Cynthia..."

Rishika, thank you for the picks, they are good. There's only a slight little problem:

1. There is no book called "Rainbow Road" only Rainshadow Road by Lisa Kleypas. I don't know what to say about it, I may read it if I ever step out the PNR zone for a bit.
Pride and Prejudice is written by Jane Austen not by Jane Eyre, I suppose you mean the book Jane Eyre. I agree with you, they are wonderful. Problem is, I read them both.

2. Archangel's Storm is released on September 4th.

3. Rogue Rider is released on November 2oth.

4. Scent of Magic is released on December 27th.

5. Days of Blood and Starlight is released on November 6th.

I know that I seem like a total bitch right now but I would've really liked that you paid more attention to the books. As it is, your picks weren't bad, I think I may read Wild Cat or Dark Frost.

Kimmy (kimmypdt) | 58 comments Lauren

I like all your picks, most are from my TBR list so I want to read all of them! For August, I will pick Dead Reckoning and read it to get it off my list, it's been there too long! I really want to read Whitney, My Love but can't seem to get my hands on it. If I can find it, I'll read that one. I really really would like to read The Chief, it looks and sounds awesome, so if you want to do a buddy read, I would read that one. I added it to my TBR list so I think I'll read it anyway, even if you can't do a BR. Thanks again, they were good ones!

These look great, Nici! I want to read them all! Guess I will have to pick just one to start with, though. Are you up for either of the Buddy Reads? I have both of them and could start any time if you would like to do one or both.

Tiffanny I signed up, but I'm not seeing my name on the list for superheroes. I'm on vacation and was just now able to check, but it says we have until august 2nd to make picks so I didn't think i'd be taken off the list.

message 293: by Shell (new)

Shell | 2 comments Hannah Jhon, sorry this is so last minute, but I've been out of town for the weekend. I looked through your TBR
lists and you seem to like a lot of anime books. I'm not too familar with those, so I took a chance and offered a
few books that you may or may not have seen before. If you'd like me to repick, just let me know.

1. Superman: (classic) Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austin or (historical romance) Master of Desire by Kinley MacGregor
both of these books are wonderful reads with amazing heros (Mr. Darcy is to die for!) and passionate heroines.

2. Green Lantern: Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs You've read the first book and liked it, the second is even better.

3. Batman: Dark brooding superhero - WIN! And the superhero without any true superpowers - just brains! (a book from their TBR that you loved) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.
You've read some of the other books, but not book one. This is one of the best of the series in my opinion.

4. Wolverine: (Mutant superhero anti-hero; favorite mutant from X-men) [a book with animals in it (or on the cover!)] Magic Bites by Ilona Andrews
Excellent Urban Fantasy with a super hot hero...*sighs*

5. The Hulk: (Superhero who transforms when angry or emotional) (an emotional or an intense book) Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
A fantastical "Romeo and Juliet" story. I recommend the audiobook if you can get it. The narrator makes the characters come alive!

6. Wonder Woman: (World's most well-known female superhero!) [a book with a strong (and I mean, really strong) kick-ass, female lead] Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill
Vampires in the Windy City!

7. Thor:(Norse god superhero acted by the super hot Chris Hemsworth ;)) (a book with a steamy cover) Perfect Chemistry by Simone Elkeles
Alex is hot Latin Lover!

BUDDY READS:

I can't do a buddy read, but...

8. Spider-man: The most relatable superhero with the famous line: "with great power there must also come great responsibility". (a book from their TBR that you are itching to read) Paranormalcy by Kiersten White
This looks really good!

9. Captain America: (a feel-good romance) The Princess Bride by William Goldman
Who wouldn't fall for a swashbuckling man who is famous for saying "As you wish.."?

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen Master of Desire (Brotherhood/MacAllister, #1) by Kinley MacGregor Blood Bound (Mercedes Thompson, #2) by Patricia Briggs Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling Magic Bites (Kate Daniels, #1) by Ilona Andrews Daughter of Smoke and Bone (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #1) by Laini Taylor Some Girls Bite (Chicagoland Vampires, #1) by Chloe Neill Perfect Chemistry (Perfect Chemistry, #1) by Simone Elkeles Paranormalcy (Paranormalcy, #1) by Kiersten White The Princess Bride by William Goldman
