Krystal109 | 1086 comments The current ISBN says hardcover. Can you check your ISBN and see if it is the same or different.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments I wonder if they printed the paperback and hardcover with the same ISBN. I will leave this to a super who knows more about this.

It's entirely possible that they used the same ISBN for both the hardcover and paperback. My dad has a few of these lying around himself (It usually seems to be engineering related stuff).

Richard | 57 comments I have seen some textbooks that print all the ISBNs for each format and any associated supplemental materials on the copyright page, making it real easy to get confused if you're not paying close attention.

In this case, it's probably more likely that they just changed the format from one printing to the next. Only the publisher knows for sure (assuming the old guys haven't retired yet).

vicki_girl | 2764 comments Looks like someone changed it to paperback, which is fine. Since Richard is the only one to shelve it, he can have match his edition. ;) If someone comes along later with the hardcover, we would treat it like an Alternate Cover edition.

Richard | 57 comments As long as I have the right title & author for my inventory, I really don't care about the details. When I'm adding a book myself, I like to be as complete & accurate as I can, & it's only a little trouble to take a photo or let you all know about any obvious errors while I've got the book in front of me.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments It's good that we change it because we KNOW this edition exists. The hardcover has not been confirmed by anyone, so if someone does come across with it then we will add it then.
