So far today I....-got up and dressed then got online to check messages.
-had a glass of Cabernet Savignon
-edited my e-books list
checked the mail (I want my books!)
-had leftover chinese for breakfast, lol
Jess, it's awesome! I was doubtful when I heard about her new series. I didn't really think she could come up with a completely new, complex idea (and world) after the Psy-Changeling books, but it's even better. @.@ I love these angels. What's more romantic than an angel? LOL.
Are you aware of whether there will be more books in that series?? I know in the title it says it's the first book in the Guild series, so I really hope there will be more. I can't wait to find out what happens with Elena and Raphael.
On her website, she talks it as part of a series, so I believe so. And I just realized you already read this book, LOL. Edit: Just finished, loved it! Will look forward to the next book! (Though that might take some time, LOL.)
Today I had a morning parent/teacher conference IEP meeting with son #2's teachers at school. Took son #3 to the dentist this afternoon and we all went to son #1's vocal concert at school this evening.
Name for white male Persian kitten I just got. I am trying to think of names in other languages for the color white. Or a Persian male name. I like Azra but I am not sure for a male if that sounds right.
The cat has greenish gold eye. I was thinking Ojos Verde "Ovee" for short. I just like odd names for my cats =D. I like Bianco too, thanks!

White in polish - biały (w/o polish letters: bialy) (it sounds something like: bee-awy); russian is quite similar (writes in different alphabet, but sounds almost the same); french - blanc; german - weiss; dutch - wit; hungarian - fehér; turkish - beyaz; maltese - abjad; finnish - valkoinen
Or did you decided already?
TYV for your help. I decided on Bianco. I call him and he looks up! Sometimes, lol. I think he likes Bianco. If I think about it I'll post a picture.
Wow, I didn't realize we had a photo section now. Cool! So, being the proud mommy that I am, I uploaded a picture of my son and his adagio partner. We're both very involved with a water ski show team and he completes in doubles competitions. This picture was taken last summer in Alabama...and they won! They performed to the country song "What Was I Thinking" that's why he's in ripped up jeans :)
It must have been quite a challenge for your son, it sure does not look easy to do. And he won, wow! Thanks Lori, awesome picture.
I have added a new shelf. Thought it might be fun/easy for others also looking to swap.*Note. Books listed are ones I have not read unless otherwise noted*

Thanks Kasia. It's not easy...takes lots of strength and balance. They've competed in 3 competitions and won their division in each one so I'm very proud of them. They'll be moving up to the harder division in the next one so a top three finish would be awesome. Thanks for letting me share!
Like the Demonica series? Vote for Pleasure Unbound. From Larissa Ione on Twitter.http://dabwaha.com/blog/
I couldn't pass up some books at a thrift shop when I was outta town. My thrift shop charges 60 cents a book. They charged either 25 cents a book or 10/$1. I found ten, of course. So here's what I got all for just one dollar:(paperback)
Star Trek: Chain of Attack by Gene DeWeese
Tender Triumph by Judith McNaught
SOS Marry Me! by Melissa McClone (Harlequin)
Adopted: Outback Baby by Barbara Hannay (Harlequin)
Welcome to Tyler (K): Courthouse Steps by Ginger Chambers
(Readers Digest Condensed Books - Hardback)
(I'm italicizing the book for which I bought it for)
- Old Yeller by Fred Gibson, Harry Black by David Walker, The Greer Case by David Peck, A Thing of Beauty by A.J. Cronin, A Single Pebble by John Hersey
- Spencer's Mountain by Earl Hamner, Jr., A Prologue to Love by Taylor Caldwell, A Time to Stand by Walter Lord, Give it Back to the Lemongrowers! by Willard Temple, Kirkland Revels by Victoria Holt
- Homeland by John Jakes, The Cat Who Went Into the Closet by Lilian Jackson Braun, Tell Me No Secrets by Joy Fielding
- The Ice Child by Elizabeth McGregor, The Blue Nowhere by Jeffery Deaver, Back When We Were Grownups by Anne Taylor, Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas by James Patterson
- Man, Woman, and Child by Erich Segal, The Cradle Will Fall by Mary Higgins Clark, Bess & Harry An American Love Story by Jhan Robbins, The Wolf and the Buffalo by ELmer Kelton, Sadie Shapiro Matchmaker by Robert Kimmel Smith.
I've not seen the movie Old Yeller yet. I like the old movie Spencer's Mountain starring Henry Fonda. The Waltons tv series was based on this movie/book. I'm going to read the books and then watch the movies. I have Sadie Shapiro's Knitting Book and it was good. I'll reread it since it was so long ago, then read this follow-story Sadie Shapiro Matchmaker.
Ever tried to resolve something so it doesn't ruin your day? But just thinking "I am not going to think about it." Pisses you off? more here:

I havn't gotten as much reading done this month. On the other hand, I've gotten alot of my cross stitching done that I needed to do for exchanges. (Only way to do both is audio books which I don't like that much.)
Today I...-edited my story The Joanna Files. A definite fantasy story.
-have not read anything yet (yipes!)
-played Guitar Hero 2 (Stutter on HARD..was easy..hehe)
-got some exercise done. Need to do cardio
-drank water (woohoo!)
-waited for mail to come (I want my autographed books Brian Keene *sigh*)
Oh goodness new_user. I really have to THINK of things to keep busy otherwise I'd just lay in bed. Then I have to mix it up otherwise I do the same things everyday, lol.
Today I...-registered my home and mobile # at the National Do Not Call registry.
https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx
Yes it is. It does not block every telemarketer. But ours drop to about 2-4 a DAY. LOL. Once I registered.
Do I have to read the Kresley Cole books in order? Will I be able to understand what's going on if I start with Kiss of a Demon King?
Tasha,Yes, Cole's Immortals After Dark, to get the full impact of the stories, needs to be read in order, in my opinion.
Tasha,I agree with Yz, they should be read in order. A couple of the books pick up where the last left off.
Or sometimes happen within the same time period or overlaps...like Sebastian's and Bowen's...and if I'm not mistaken, even Cade's and Rydstrom's...
Yeah, Cade's and Rydstrom's happen at pretty much exactly the same time, and there's some overlap between Sebastian and Bowen.Start at the beginning and read them! They're awesome! I'm pretty sure you'll feel lost if you start with Kiss of A Demon King.
Okay thanks, I guess I'll start with A Hunger Like No Other. It's just that Kiss of a Demon King looked rather interesting.
Totally offtopic, lol, but I had to share. My town made the national news this morning, and for a good reason.Good Morning America's (ABC) Happiest Place in America. My State (Nebraska) is #1 and my cities downtown (Hastings) is featured as well as our mayor interviewed. See it here: http://abcnews.go.com/Video/playerInd... (30 sec ad first)
Jacquelyn Frank What do you know about this author? I saw alot of my friend' Rapture: The Shadowdwellers to their to-read list. But there is no blurb on GR. What's the buzz?
Jacquelyn Frank has a series called Nightwalkers. There are... five books in that series, I believe. They're about demons and shapeshifters and vampires and stuff. PNR.They're pretty cool, but the prose tends to get extremely sugary, and I personally got irritated with the way she dealt with the soul mate angle.
But a lot of people really like these books. I read the first four and enjoyed them but got sick of them by book five.
Her new Shadowdwellers series is sort of a spin-off. The Shadowdwellers are another race, like the demons and shapeshifters, etc. She introduces them in book 4 of the Nightwalkers series.
The first book of the Shadowdwellers series is Ecstasy. I have not read it since I didn't love her other series, and I haven't really heard much about what people think of it. I assume Rapture is book 2 and has not been released yet.
Very wordy prose, Kenjii. Her Nightwalkers series is more syrupy, the Shadowdwellers series more visceral. But they share a lot of similarities in plot -they're in the same universe- and characters (heroine always seems to be The Innocent Maiden and the hero a Knight in Shining Armor). Hope that helps, LOL.I would get the first book from the library and see if you can enjoy her style.
Romance Sells in Down EconomyI just heard on the news that sells of romance up 25% since the down turn of the economy. That's cool!
I've always been curious about Spade.. I'm glad she's writing about him, but does that mean she's stopped writing about Cat? nooo lol.
I wanted to post this with the post about Amazon dissing gay romance but I couldn't find it. If someone does. Cut and paste? This is a petition (20,000 siggy's needed) to change the sales ranking on adult books sold in order to show up in searches on Amazon. I LOVE Amazon but if they "prefer" to diss adult books b/c of content I'd prefer to take all my business elsewhere. http://www.thepetitionsite.com/1/in-p...
I read on Jeaniene Frost's web site awhile back that she has a contract to write the Night Huntress series at least through book 7, but she also got a contract to write two stand alone books that will be about characters in the Night Huntress world. So it's not really a new series, and she's definitely not done with Cat. They'll just be books about characters that she has really wanted to focus on but can't really in the scope of a series that is first person and focuses so heavily on Cat and Bones.
