The second book in The Taker Trilogy just came out--The Reckoning. The novels have been compared a lot to early Anne Rice, like Interview With The Vampire and the Mayfair Witches, for their mix of the supernatural with historical fiction and a dark love story. It’s the story of a young woman who falls in love with a man she can’t have. In trying to win him, she is drawn into a dark magical world where eternal love is possible—though, she learns, at a terrible price.
The last book in the trilogy is The Descent, and it's slated for publication in May 2013.

Hi Amanda,
I'm working on a contemporary novel that takes place in Maine, New York and Puerto Rico. The main protagonist is a descendant of the main characters of CONQUISTADORA. It's slated for publication in Fall 2014.

Hi Amanda,
I'm left the Wars of the Roses and just finsihed my new book set in Eastern Rome. Loved writing and researching it! No release date yet - it just landed in my agent's hands.

Hi Edi,
No, I'm not familiar with that opera. I'll look for it. I'm an opera fan. Thank you for the heads up....

If I am correct, she wrote extensive diaries during the war. Any suggestions?

All her writings were diaries and they are packaged in short and long form. "Diary from Dixie" is a good introduction. If you want more, there's a "complete" collection."

If anyone enjoys reading about the Late Classical Era and the Migration Period, my book is available in ebook formats at most dealers. I currently have a reviewer assessing my historical fiction, along with reviews by people who have read my book.
Any advice would be appreciated.Candi Holme
