Tara Chevrestt | 14 comments Hi. One of the authors for this antho has asked me for help. She went to make her account into an author account and discovered there is another author on goodreads with the same name and goodreads has credited the account to her bio. The author in question, Anna Christie, would like to make her own bio for this book and put the book on her bio. The Anna Christie for this book: Evoking Change: Make a Difference in Your Life and in the World is not the same Anna Christie who is in the Love Down Under Antho. Thank you for your help in advance.

Deji (dejiridoo) | 9 comments Hi there,

This is a slightly different problem. I wrote books under a different name "Deji Olukotun" and I am now using my full name "Deji Bryce Olukotun".

Is it possible to make my "Deji Bryce Olukotun" book (there is only one) show up under the "Deji Olukotun" books under my author profile?

I recognize that this causes trouble for the system. Any help is appreciated!

Deji

Krystal109 | 1086 comments The easiest way to fix this would be to not use your middle name when we put in the author info. This may not be okay with you though.

We can also link author pages to other alias pages in your bio though, but I'm new and I'm not sure if you would need to claim the alias pages as well or if there is another way they link them.

Amara Tanith (aftanith) Unless you wish to maintain both profiles separately, I think it would be appropriate in this case to merge "Deji Olukotun" into "Deji Bryce Olukotun", or vice-versa depending on how you intend to publish in the future.

If he (or some other hypothetical author) wanted to claim two profiles, I believe that would necessitate creating a second GR account. (And the only way to link them is through hyperlinks in the bio, like you mentioned.)

Krystal109 | 1086 comments Okay good to know Amara. Yea I figured a super would come by and clarify this more for both of us.

So it is plausible, although probably annoying, for a GR author to keep two accounts if they really wanted to have certain books under certain alias'.
