I might be able to read a book. :) I recently got the first book in the Game of Thrones trilogy (on my nook). So I guess that's my suggestion, even though I don't know how good it is, and hardcore-book-people have probably read it?
Now that Bill's found, and I've read, the jacket cover, I'm less interested. But, let's try to pick a book!
I think game of thrones might be neat.

Ever considered a career as a waffle vendor? You'd look great out in the street with your waffle cart!

We don't want to be boxed into our past! We are ready to explore new directions at any time. We haven't read any automobile or refrigerator repair manuals yet, so there are definitely some possibilities out there.

(A) "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot, or,
(B) "Scent of the Missing" by Susannah Charleson
Thoughts??
Amy wrote: "Ok, so it looks like we have a book picked..... now what? :-) (Newbie question, I know)" There's a new topic: "Book 27 - Immortal Life" on the discussion board now. That's where all members will post comments about your pick.
I stared another thread for book discussions just now! It's here: Discussion>Book 27: The Immortal Life>TILoHL.
Some folks like to add updates while they're reading along, and some folks just like to read the book and comment when they're done. Most books we also meet in real life, though a few members are in other states, etc so the online discussion is pretty useful.
Feel free to add to the vocabulary or best/worst writing threads if you find something you particularly would like to note too!

Let's have a meeting on this one in a couple of weeks? I volunteer to host (unless someone else wants to.) There'll be tumor smoothies!
