Hi. My name is Laurel, and I live near Toronto, Ontario, in Canada. I am addicted to books, lists, research, and challenges. I am happy to be here and reading some new Canadian material. I belong to several groups on GR. I am looking forward to meeting new folks with common interests.
I welcomed you in Connie's thread, but I will welcome you again in this one! I hope you enjoy the challenge.

Some of us use spread sheets to keep our group reads and challenges organized. I have one with a sheet for each challenge (currently doing 3 big ones). Each sheet has a column that cross references the books to the other challenges. I know - anal retentive. LOL! Does it help if I tell you that I'm a self employed bookkeeper?

I used to make very detailed long range plans when I was teaching, retired now, so perhaps I will create a similar template. Thanks for sharing!
Hi. My name is Cindy I live in beautiful Muskoka and love to sit on my dock reading watching the river go by!! I am in a couple other challenges with books set out to read but hope to add a few Canadian. Will probably continue past 2013 and plan to use this space to keep track of my reading set in all the provinces. I have travelled through most of the provinces and lived in 3. Hope to visit all once I retire in a few years. I work as an RN in NICU so get some reading in at night when those babies are settled in!
Welcome Cindy! I love the Muskoka area. I used to visit a cottage on Lake Muskoka across the lake, from Bala, in the '60's. I started reading novels there in a boathouse, perched over the shore. The books belonged to my aunt. She let me read whatever I wanted, and gave me my first copy of Gone With the Wind-so I have very fond memories of your neck of the woods. What other challenges are you doing!? I am in a few, too-thought we might have some in common. You will meet lots of great people on here, and in many other groups.

Look for my book on Amazon - The Jade Rubies by Valerie Lee - it's about 2 young Chinese sister sold in China who end up in Canada. Please find me on www.valerieleeworks.wordpress.com You can also see my other book about serial killer Charles Ng - A long way to Death Row - from many years of candid interview with Charles Ng.
