Brynn walked into the school, with her game face on. She had 2 bags, only to be restrained by security. She was told they would be delivered to her room later.
Jon, still in Falcon form, jumped off of Jade's shoulder, flew over and landed on one of the security guard's shoulder's.
Brynn watched as the other girl who just entered. Lila, she thought. She avoided eye contact, not obviously. She pulled down her shades and studied the room.

"Ew!" she shouted. "What the heck?" she said in shock. "They let some bird in but not 2 bags of clothes and magazines?" she asked.
Jon was hurt by Brynn's words. He flew to a nearby table, landed on it with his back to her and lowered his head in sadness.
Brynn glared at the falcon. She still avoided eye contact, but studied him. She realized that the falcon was a human. She approached them slowly. "Sorry about that," she said cooly. She noticed a faint figure beside the bird. She couldn't fully see the image-it was very very vague. "You have a..."she stopped herself. She didn't trust these people yet.
As she tried to lock in, she noticed 2 figures standing beside him. Floating. Ghosts. They resembled him, then she put it together. They way they looked at each other, the sorrow. They were his parents. She brushed his mind and confirmed it. They both died. He murdered someone and was thrown in here. He was a shapeshifter, obviously. She shook it off and processed her information. People were a little tougher to reach into here then...out there. "I'm sorry about your parents," she said to him.
She avoided eye contact still, but it was getting more difficult. Her heart was racing. She closed her eyes and concentrated. Don't freak out, she said, soothingly in his mind. They're standing right beside you. She opened her eyes and sighed, looking at the floor.
And this was where it got awkward. "I miss my parents to, but they're just as gone. Actually, more so. They don't linger anywhere near me. Haven't seen them since the day they died," she said, harshly at first then distant. Gosh, she was glad she was wearing sunglasses. "So Jon, how old are you?" she said.
She nodded her head. She let herself see his aura. It was soft blue. (Peacefulness, clarity and communication; truthful; intuitive) She rubbed her head. She was feeling lightheaded. She leaned on a desk. "So you're in here because you killed someone?" she asked.
She realized these would most likely be the people she would live with the rest of her life. and eventually, she would have to make eye contact she looked up at him, making eye contact and gasped. She swallowed, as she began to see into his soul, and she saw his death first. She almost collapsed, but caught herself. Her breathing was shallow, but she steadied herself again.
"You don't seem ashamed," she said. "I would brush your mind but it's much easier to talk."
James walked into the school. he surveyed the area, and walked over to the little group. He noticed the girl leaning against the desk, who seemed quite pale. He grabbed her hand and kissed it. "James Dallas, m'lady," he said, drawing out all the pain coarsing through her body.
"Pleasure to meet you, but I'm kinda having a conversa-" she said, feeling the sudden change. "What the heck did you just do? Y'know, I don't really care." She turned back to Jon. "Sorry Jon, back to our conversation."

"Well I was out late one night. And an officer came up to me, this was about a month ago. The officer told me to go home to my parents they must be worried sick. I told him that they were dead. So he tells me yeah right. He grabbed my hand and threw me into the back of the car. He drove me home and rang the doorbell. No one answered and he told me that when my parents get home he is going to tell them what happened. I got mad so I shifted into a king cobra and bit him repeatedly. He died a day later." Jon told her.
She stared at him in disbelief. "I get that you were mad...but why go all out and kill the dude?" she asked.
James stared at them. "It's rather logical. I'd throw a couple punches. Tell the guy off. Honestly, I probably would've brutally beaten him. killed him cold blood. So, I'd say nice with the cobra. A bit torturous."
Brynn rolled her eyes. "Of course. Guy logic. Kill everything. I'd kill the dude if he seriously hurt me. I'd go into his mind and-" she smiled devilishly, keeping her dirty evil thoughts to herself. "Ok, I see your point. But what were you doing out that late?" she asked.

Jon pouted. "It wasn't just that. He knew my parents were dead. I called the police when I found them dead. He came and arrested me for their murder. Then he released me when it was found to be natural causes. IT was a small town no one forgets news that someone has mysteriously died. And it's not guy logic to kill everything. It's insticts. You try to be a young shapeshifter and everyone knowing your secret won't tell you until after your parents are dead. I got my powers on my 14th birthday like everyone, in my family, before me. My parents died that same night."
She studied him. "Okay...I just am not so big on the murder thing. I'd just...well, I'd do it on you but you're a bit young and I want to make a good impression," she said, that devilish grin coming back. She was getting excited and very combustable.
James got a look on his face. He was deciding whether or not to let his imagination get the best of him. He decided no. "Of course, you could do it on me," he said jokingly. She tensed.
"I wasn't speaking to you, I was speaking to Jon," she said.

Brynn smiled devilishly. "I don't think so. It would be pleasant at first, I suppose, then just torturous. Horrid. so bad you'd beg me to die. I've never done it, but I assume it'd be possible. I can see when you'll die-" she cut herself off.
James stared at her incredulously.
James stared at her incredulously.
"I can find you. Don't forget your parents are right by your side. I can find you Jon..." she said. She studied James for a minute though. "I could read your mind, brush it, but I don't want to."
"Like I said, James Dallas. So when's my death date?" he asked.
She avoided his eyes until he reached out and moved up her chin gently. She closed her eyes and whispered in his mind, Don't. Don't make me, she said. She creeped into his mind and dug through his memories. So you killed a couple people...and you regret one..., she pulled the image out and enhanced it. She found his family. His sister. Your sister...how bad would it be if she...per se...were to die in your arms- she was thrown up against the wall, though she wasn't sure how. "What the-" she said then fell. She got up and said, "What, James? Couldn't play in your own game?" she said, realizing how angry he was. "Jon, that would be what happens, extreme pain. Except he could throw me against a wall," she said, getting up brushing her self off. She took a step and almost collapsed.

Brynn waved at him. "If you don't mind, I think I'll be seeing myself to my dorm. Bye bye!" she said, getting up to leave. James grabbed her arm.
"I want to know my death," he said.
There was no way she could break free of his grasp. She lost her consentration for a moment and looked in his eyes. She gasped, and started breathing fast.
"What?" he asked.
"N-no..." she said.
"I want to know my death," he said.
There was no way she could break free of his grasp. She lost her consentration for a moment and looked in his eyes. She gasped, and started breathing fast.
"What?" he asked.
"N-no..." she said.
She steadied herself. "I-I can't make eye contact with anyone with out seeing their death. I can't control it. It's horrible. After that, it's glimpses of future...random glimpses," she said. She was getting angry. She punched James repeatedly, but he just looked at her. She gave up.
Jon saw her bag on the ground. His curiosity got the better of him. He ran over to it and climbed inside. He started looking around.
She stared at Jon as he disappeared in her bag. "What the heck do you think you're doing?!" she said, slipping into his mind. She was releasing her anger into his mind as she went over to her bag and dumped it out violently.
He hit the ground and they heard a snap. "Ouh. Sorry. I was curious. Ouh, I think my leg is broken." He said as a tear ran down his snout.
Brynn glared at him, trying to keep her anger in check. "How dare you-" she said but then James cut her off.
"Shut it, miss. You poke through our minds," James said, reaching out, healing Jon. "Children," he muttered.
"Excuse me?" Brynn said. "I will hurt you. And my name is Brynn." She picked up her things quickly. "Well, I'll be showing myself to my dorm now. Thank you very much," she said, storming out.
James smiled smugly. "Isn't she interesting?" he asked.

James smiled smugly. "Isn't she interesting?" he asked.
"She's still interesting. And she can tell me my future. Did she look into your eyes at any point?" he asked, still amused with myself.
"No. No one would anyway. Nobody likes me." He said as he pouted, turned around so his back was to James, and sat down.
"Are you absolutely sure? Did she start breathing shallow at anytime? I know there was a time when she was extremely pale...it's hard to avoid direct eye contact with people," he said. He couldn't stop wondering with fascination about his future.
"She never did. No one looks me in the eyes. Like I said before nobody likes me. Everyone hates me." He said sounding sad. He starts tearing up.
"Stop the pity act, maybe someone will like you," he said. "Well, I'm going to go settle in," he said as if this were a happy little house. "Try to stay happy," he said, walking away.
Brynn entered the school quietly and saw she was quite alone. She sat down in a desk-which was most uncomfortable-and sighed. She couldn't stop thinking about James' future.
"Boo," a voice said behind her. She turned to find it was James.
"What do you want?" she asked stiffly.
"Not to hurt you, just know how and when I'll die," he said simply.
"No. Not happening," she said in a shaky voice.
"C'mon Brynn...look at me...please," he said, as she turned her head towards him. Her breathing quickened.
"J-james. Please. I-I can't."
"Why?" he asked.
Because your blood is on my hands, she said in his mind.
And how would you know for sure? he responded.
"Because. The headaches are getting worse and I saw me in a vision for the first time. Out of every person in the world, I was kneeling beside you with your blood on my hands!!!" she shouted at him, breaking down.
"It's okay...shh..." he said, reaching for her hand, healing her slowly.
"H-how can you do that? What did you just do?" she asked.
"I took away your pain and sorrow. I healed you. Do you feel better?" he asked.
"A little bit...James I was...you were covered in blood and I was right beside you."
"What day do I die?" he asked her.
"No. No. Stop it. No James. I don't tell people," she said. "Especially those I've just met."
"C'mon Brynn...please," he said with puppy dog eyes before seeing she wouldn't budge. "Fine. I can help you, though. And I will," he said with a small smile. She turned away from him.

Jon flew inside. He was covered in so much oil that his falcon feathers looked black, oil was even dripping onto the ground. He crash landed on the ground.
