This was brought up at the end of the book when Jace and Clary are going to get food. There are two werewolves talking about who would win. I want to know your idea's on the topic. I'm up in the air on this.

I love Magnus to death and back, but Dumbledore is better, I'm sorry, but he's got 'that killing curse and stuff!' Remember when those two were fighting over this very topic in Taki's (at least i think it was Taki's) XD
I think they would talk while in the middle of the battle, realize it was all a misunderstanding and Dumbledore would buy Magnus a butterbeer. Maybe even do a little bit of flirting! :D

Dumbledore is wise and everything but Magnus is definitely more awesome. :)
I don't think Magnus ever uses magic to actually kill people, while Dumbledore can, and is wise,

i absoultly LURVE Magnus i would say he wins as a person and in atiude buuuuut dumbledore would win as a wizard...bc in clockwork prince when will comes to visit Magnus you see that doin a lot of magic tires him out.

OH NO! I HAVE TO CHOOSE!!! :( no fair... Although they aer oddly similar... I'd say Magnus, just cuz he has a better sense of humour... its still practically a tie...
i think if i had to pick a side in a magical battle i would pick Dumbledore!!

But Dumbledore died so how do you compare to a dead person? Unless you were to say before he died, and then i'd have to say Dumbledore because his magic can't be depleted like magnus's magic.
I thought Jace was going to shout out that he knows Magnus Bane or something but he was just sitting there and didn't care instead. I got disappointed.
Magnus seems to be led more by his emotions, he's not the strategist that Dumbledore was; Dumbledore had the long game in mind no matter the consequences. So, I have to go with Dumbledore even though Magnus is way more entertaining.

Dumbledore would win, because we know that when Magnus uses magic, he get's tired and loses energy but Dumbledore doesn't obviously. In a duel, Dumbledore. Personally, that wouldn't happen I think because they both have a habit of talking through everything and so they probably would stop in the middle. To those who're saying Magnus because of his personality, you should know that Dumbledore is quite a guy himself. He's wise and down-to-earth but he also knows what he's capable of. Magnus is an absolutely fantastic character but Dumbledore would win.
I like Mangus's character better cuz of things revealed in the end of Harry Potter about Dumbledore, but I think the spells that were used in Harry Potter were deadlier, so Dumbledore would probably win, but popularity wise Magnus all the way!

What! Heck no, Magnus would win just cuz he's amazing and my favorite. He can do lots of magic and doesn't even need to scream out spells. (I'm not even sure of all the things he can do) When Dumbledore uses a spell the light from it will reflect off Magnus's sequins and glitter and blind him. I go with Dumbledore cause he was here first, even though he kind of used harry but he is still a kick ass wizard. Also he risked his life to steal a Hocrux, I don't really think Magnus would risk his life to do that, would he actually? idk.
