I just finished Breath of Scandal by Sandra Brown. Wow, it was a really great book I didn't care for rape being the basis for the book, but it was a very good book. 5 stars. Now I'm going to read Fat Tuesday.

Hey group...it's my birthday today! I have to work the late shift but after tonight I have the rest of the weekend off. Reading is number one on my TO-DO list. I have on my list, Wildwood by Lynna Banning, My Wicked Little Lies by Vicky Alexander, Rules of Engagement by Suzanne Enoch, and Tempting Fortune by Jo Beverley to get through. Wish me luck.

I just finished Suzanne Brockmann The Defiant Hero . I have all but 4 of the Troubleshooters and I am going to real through the series. I picked up Tami Hoag Ashes to Ashes, to read until we decide which LH book to read. Tami Hoag is another author I have all her books, but have never read other than her romances.

The Mercenary by Cherry Adair. I read book 18 from the series and had a hard time getting into, but thanks to Anita I figured out which is the first. I want to see if it any good.

My daughter loaned me her Kindle and I read all the SEP Chicago Stars books. But first, I went into each book and wrote down the publish date to make sure I read them in order. Using the Goodreads series list is much easier!

I absolutely did not like Mercenary. I will read the next few in the series to see if they get any better. Can't decide between or . I was given the later book by a lawyer friend whose wife is in a book club. This was the book they read a few months ago. I am hesitant because it deals with Alzheimer's. Since my husband has it I worry that it hits too close to home.

I just finished Tami Hoag Ashes to Ashes. Police prodecural, good mystery, gritty details. 80% mystery and 20% romance . I'm going to read a nonsense romance now. Probably something by Lori Foster. I have a stack of her stuff. I hope she is really funny, I feel like I need that now.

Wish you luck Anita. I find LH to be a hit and miss sometimes. Some of her heroines can be just plain annoying.

My grandmother read it to us three kids when we were kids. I never really liked the book. I cannot stand a sad book, especially with animals.

I just finished Sandra Browns' Lethal and let me warn you it has a very disappointing ending. Before that, I finished Nora's The Witness and it was excellent, even with a beta hero.

I am currently reading Cold Dawn by Carla Neggers It is #3 in her Black Falls Series and I would not give the entire series more than 3 stars. I have read her in the past and ususlly like her stuff.

I loved Overload. I finally got a kindle and am reading some Linda Winstead JOnes book. Shades of Midnight, Shades of Winter, and a Week till the Wedding. I am also listening to Unfinished Business by Clanci (Bob) one of our group members.

I am hooked on the Troubleshooters series. They were published in 2000 forward and the stories could have been written today.

No, I am only on book 4 of Troubleshooters. I have one book before Sam and Alyssa get their HEA, and it better be a really good HEA after 5 books! I don't want to read them one after the other. So, I am reading at least 3 other books in between. I know that is weird, but I want to make them last. I think they are that good.

I have found that I can't read books by the same author in succession, If I do I end up burning out.

That is so true. I also start to notice a bit of formula writing and that really annoys me. I love them all. They each have very alpha heros, awesome heroines, suspense and a supporting characters that are always excellent. I love how the books take the supporting characters and they get developed throughout the series. I am only on book 4 and I don't really have a favorite. My favorite couple is Sam and Alyssa. I love how their story starts with them absolutely hateing each other and changes with each book.

I can't tell you how many authors I have quit reading because I have seen the formulaic either by the plot or the characters. Iris Johansen is one I can think of. Although her books are really good, her characters all have the same personality, making their actions the same. I think I hate that more than the basic plot. Now if they are the same character like Eve Dallas in the in Death books (JD Robb) that is different.

I have also quit Iris Johansen, even though I inheirated all the books. I have no desire to read any more of them. I'll keep them. If I ever run out of anything else to read, I'll read them. Did Eve ever find Bonnie or her killer?

Yes. I had started that series so I read the trilogy Eve, Quinn, and Bonnie. In Bonnie, they actually find the killer and well I don't want to tell in case someone wants to read it.

I've got those books. I actually had 3 or 4 copies each. I kept one set and sold the others. I'll eventually read them. I always wondered if she would ever wrap up that mystery. It is kinda like Red John from the tv show The Mentalist - just how far can you stretch a plot?

I just finished Into the Night Into the Night and I really love this series. But, I loved Tal, Dark and Dangerous too! This one was the terrorist attack at the SEAL base and the love story of Michael Muldoon and Joan DaCosta, with Joan's grandparents as the WWII story. I have to go buy the next one - that one is Sam Alyssa's story.

I just finished Mr. Perfect and it is truly one of Linda Howard's best books. It has it all for me. Romance, Suspense and Humor.

I liked Mr Perfect the first time I read it and has come to love him more and more each time I read it. Now Open Season I loved the first time and loved it more each time.

Lori Foster Jude's Law I have a stack of her stuff and this book is romantic, funny (a little) with suspense (a little). Fun so far.
