second book in the series where I took the third book as an ARC. The first book was ok, this one is just plain bad. I really have to stop taking an ARC where I need to read the other books in the series. I've got this series and another one that isn't great either. Feel like I'm really wasting valuable reading time, even skimming a lot.

Just finished The Haunting of Blackwood House and now reading Craven Manor, both by Darcy Coates.
If you are loooking for the ghost stories that are creepy and spooky but not too disturbing and full of gore, then I recommend Darcy Coates. her stories are all that but have enjoyable characters and atmosphere.

RaeAnne Thayne’s Season of Wonder.
So I have loved this Haven Point series, bought all of them in paperback at WalMart and THIS one is a $12 oversize (trade) paperback ..
fairly gorgeous winter cover granted with
special flap that can be used as a bookmark..
but still that’s more than I had planned to spend
so I’m thinking this better be darn good....

I’m now enjoying a new-to-me author, Bethany Lopez, and her Lewis Cousins series. Too Complicated is the second in the series.
