Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments I am almost finished with A Hellion in Her Bed (Hellions of Halstead Hall, #2) by Sabrina Jeffries . It was an audio and I drove to Tucson yesterday to see my Mom. Then I start on the next in the series, off hand I can't remember the name. I am wiped today. I didn't get much sleep the day before and then drove 200 miles. Today I am going to a play and have to drive another 50 or so. I see broadway plays that come to Phoenix, and 3 of my friends and I have season tickets. Today we are seeing War Horse.

Geri Reads (gerireads) LeiCa wrote: "I've never tried Lisa Kleypas. what type of stories does she write about?"

Lisa Kleypas is known for historical romance novels. But she did have her contemporary series as well, the Travises and Friday Harbor AFAIK.

message 182: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments I have several Lisa Kleypas, but have never read one. I think I will try Again the Magic (Wallflowers, #0.5) by Lisa Kleypas Again the Magic as I am between books right now.

Hehe. You'll love her Kleypas' heroines. She writes great unconventional heroines.

message 187: by LeiCa (new)

LeiCa | 1081 comments You've just sold Kleypas to me, will chevk her books out :)Thanks.

message 188: by Janeiowa (new)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments I liked the Latest contemporary Kleypas books...UNTIL the latest one came out. Te reviews for Crystal Cove said a lot of spells, magic, etc. which is so NOT my thing. Then I saw Amazon had it for $1.99 for the kindle for a few days. And it's quite new! That made me wonder if sales are really down???
I wish she'd go back to the plain contemporary romances, as she did with the Travis family, and leave the voodoo/magic out.

I've loved the Gansett Island books. I've bought #8, but it's on my IPAD TBR.

message 189: by Sera (new)

message 191: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments LeiCa wrote: "i don't usually like historical :( i hate those simpering fluttery eyed women, lol"

The ones I have read the women are independent and willful not simpering and fluttery eyed. I also hate that type of woman. I also hate when the hero whether historical or modern day is real "poetic" in how he speaks. For instance, keeps telling the heroine over and over how much he loves her and what beautiful eyes, hair, teeth or whatever she has. I just can't imagine any man doing that.

My in-laws lived on the China Lake Navel Weapons Test Center base in Ridgecrest, California. Is this the site of this book?
